Stuckey was what 15.5 PPG on 43% shooting with about 5 APG

He had some good games near the end but the competition was not that great and the Pistons were not playing for anything.

I would be tempted to just cut and run. Lot of bad memories with Stuck and his poor attitude. Maybe its time for a new direction in as many things as we can control. Already "stuck" with 2 highly paid SG's and Stuck has shown very little interest in the point. He was supposed to be Billups heir apparent and he failed.

Wrong Max, the team failed Stuckey.

That should be next years Motto. We could put it on T-Shirts and billboards everywhere this summer.

All he needs is coaches he gets along with and better teammates and the sky is the limit for this kid.

I heard that the NBA competition committee is talking about doing away with the charging foul and making the jump-shot illegal.

All they have to do is institute spontaneous dice shooting on contact and Rufus Henry will automatically be league MVP.

""upon contact, each player rolls 2D6"

44% shooting actually, and 18/7 type numbers are very attainable for Stuckey if he played 36 minutes a game (the norm for starters) and not 30.

    And....?

It's still not a guarantee that he gets your specified numbers on a diet of 36 minutes per, allthewhile still not being fair to him if he doesn't fulfill your expectations despite these prerequisites being met.

Could've, should've, would'ves aside, he's likely better suited to be a SG with PG skills than a full time PG trying to achieve against all odds while Phil Collins sings background. :)

I've been watching Dallas during the playoffs and I keep thinking Jason Terry's role with Dallas is the perfect role for Stuckey. He comes off the bench, but plays starter minutes. He facilitates the offense as needed, but looks to score first.

Stuckey is stronger than Terry, but the range on his jump shot is very limited. If Stuckey can hit the 3-ball with 0.40+ percentage, he can be a very integral piece for a contender.

I'd agree with that, cept for him to be the 3rd guard... which I think is his spot, then we need to move our other 3rd guard in Ben Gordon. While totally different players they fill a redundant slot for the team at a time they would be ready to compete for a title.

Since Rodney is no longer under contract by the Pistons, it will be interesting to see all of the offers he generates. It will be interesting to see all the interest from other teams he musters. Please...list those here in this thread as they become apparent. It will be a good barometer to help determine his true value.

Prediction: Mike Bibby ain't gonna be in Miami next season.

Rodney Stuckey will take his talents to South Beach and join up with the Big-Three thus making a Big-FOUR.

I don't know if Wade will give up # 3 for him so it might be off.

In one of the games in Miami I thought I saw Rodney hugging some of the Heat players after the game as they headed to the locker room...can anyone confirm?

I'm pretty sure I saw him in Memphis hugging players. He's covering a lot of ground.
