Re: Teal years part 2 I don't walk when the going gets tough.
Re: Teal years part 2 Yeah but you would be ballin' all the way. (crying)
Re: Teal years part 2 I am a sensitive man.
I doubt this board would lose posters if the Pistons sucked, if anything there would be more. Hell, I remember more heated arguments with friends about David Wood and Mark Macon than with the current group, and it's those debates that make for a healthy forum.
It's weird, but I think there would be more posters if the Pistons start to fall off the mountain. TFD from what I've seen a lot of people here hate Chauncey more than they like him.
I don't know about that... may need a poll.
I agree. People aren't going anywhere.
The continuation of this thread should be contingent upon the "!" being removed from the title. :P I mean common. Is anyone really excited that Dupree is back? Really?
I'm excited! He WANTS to be here. He is as athletic as it gets. He plays good defense. He is great on the fast break. And he's not the type of bench player who will be constantly %%%%%ing about not getting enough PT. And he's very cheap. But then again, I liked what Mo Evans brought to the table too.
That's probably because he knows he's not good enough for more PT. Just a theory.
The Pistons new slogan "Give us you weak... your mediocre... your ball hogs...your defense deprived... we're goin' to kinda work"... toot toot
from "Going to Work" to "Going to Kinda Work" to "bought the farm" by now, if the majority of the people say that this roster makeup ain't gonna cut it, I'm not going to get out there and say "trust in Joe, man" There were things that looked broken long before the wheels came off...and people here were pointing that out.
I don't think that Dupree has a confidence problem. It just seems like he is the type of guy who will try to show that he needs more PT by playing hard and practicing hard vs. talking about it.
Re: Ronald Dupree is back On second thought, Dupree is not that bad a signing. I figure he'd push out Amir or Nik...both need to play someplace else. We need to play Delfino (or trade him) we need to play Maxiel. We would otherwise be dangerously stocked with inexperienced fledglings. Acker/Blalock hopefully they get on and take turns in the D league but too many 'potential' guys and you are fielding a NBDL roster...like Charlotte.
Slippy you might want to fix my spelling mistake on your sig. I think I was the retard by spelling it retart.
I'm ok with Dupree... skilled players can be overated... do they get back on defense... do they make their man work hard for a shot... do they beat someone down the court for a dunk?... loose balls etc... these are real tangible assets that typically lead to high % shooting. He doesn't have to worry about his shot getting rusty if he sits for a long time. Sup Dupe = unspoiled hard worker.
duz taht help U out?
There you go. What did they almost call him? HoJo? The guy was not quite good enough for a nick. Folks against the move. Who would you rather have? And better whats your suggestion for a min contract guy? Not much out there for that. If Delfino can't outplay Dupree then he needs to be moved. That should be given that Delfino has nothing to fear with this move. Dupree was brought in for insurance.
Re: i like the signing Uhhh bball jay....you feelin allright? You're complimentin a guy who will prolly "steal" minutes from your guy? Will wonders ever cease?
Yep! This bench is a loooong way from Okur, Big Nasty and Mike James. There's a shoe droppin. It just ain't hit the ground yet.
