I thought John Hammond was really the GM.
Where are your sources?
Rotations, part... Joe D: Jennings isn't guaranteed a starter job | Page 13 | Detroit Pistons Forum
There was a brief period of NBA history when Slava Kravstov led the league with infinite FTM per 48 minutes. Then Joe gave him away for peanuts.
These discussions of past Hacks reminds me of the last time we had a decent team. The fact that we can once again have an all-Hack line shows that we do have some talent this year. Means you are good enough to not need the last 3-4 guys on your bench. A sucky team plays them all desperatly hoping that someone does something. Not this yeat - we may have a half way decent team again.
Also, if we are talking about past hacks, then the current squad must lack true hacks to garner the attention. Cheers to you Joe!
I currently have Amir ranked 40th on my very early stages fantasy cheat sheet for the group containing all PF and C. Just behind Tyson Chandler and ahead of Spencer Hawes. Averaging a block and a steal per game is nothing to sneeze at. Excel doesn't have enough rows for me to fit Maxiell in there. Only for deep leagues. I'd say Amir is a slightly better fantasy player than his real life counterpart. Both are much worse than the Lee version.
Season has not started yet. Just watch the posts fly after these fine young prospects sit game after game after game.
You actually put guys into Excel and go 40 deep? Holy crap! I put guys into PowerPoint and see who looks good on the big screen in the conference room here at work. My boss is STOKED on me using my time this way!
More than 40 deep amigo... I totally need to know who Nikola Pekovic's backup's backup's backup's backup is (Bojan Dubljevic) and what his 36 minute stats are in case all of them get hurt at the same time. You shouldn't put guys into Powerpoint though. That can hurt. Word!
My approach is almost entirely heuristic based. I do very little statistical analysis.
This year I'm going for an all-Piston team. I have that much faith in our new lineup.
I send each player messages on Twitter and ask them how high they can get their leg up on the wall.
Translation: I auto-draft.

I was being serious... :P I don't usually go after anyone who doesn't start, and play 25+MPG. I don't usually go for guys who shoot a bad FG%. I look for bigs who can shoot FTs, and generate deeper stats than just points and rebounds. That means, steals, blocks, assists. When I play fantasy, I am trying to win 5 of 9 cats each week, not 9 of 9 cats.
What's that, you don't want every cat?
You're citing a two word phrase? Do you have any proof Dumars was responsible for building that championship team more than Hammonds?
I heard Dumar's actually used to send out emails to other GM's advertising free players to a good home. Free to a Good home with the players pic above it.
