    Welcome!

We can only guess. I would say the chances are quite good the Pistons will make some trade, even a small one.

It is possible. It is obvious Bosh is available for trade now.

I would hope Bosh, but the local papers have promoted Stoudemire, and they are very good at promoting propaganda.

Your English is quite good. :D

Stoudemire just seems extremely likely, as long as Joe wants it. The Suns are basically folding. Completely. They are only looking to get out of the red. We can do that.

Landing Bosh is a complete pipe dream, but sure, he's the top priority.

Why don't we just get both? Would getting one draw in the other?

There is always the possiblity all be it small that we land Amare via trade and then Bosh signs in 2010 as a free agent.

Now you get a center who can plug up the paint and rebound, pair him with Bosh and Amare alongside AA, Stuckey, and ? ?. Then we may have something!

No reason Kerr does that. He can get much, much better.

It has to be a heck of a player to add 10 wins. And outside of the ultimate clutch players in the game, those guys who can take over and score at will down the stretch, he would need to improve those around him significantly. KG is a good example of this effect in bean town. I'm not convinced Bosh can do the same for us.

I could see him helping us past the first round in the POs but it all depends who that opponent is (our seed). If its the Cavs or C's or the Magic, Bosh ain't going to make enough of a difference.

But even if we assume that Bosh is worth 10 more wins, we give up Tay and someone else in the deal, so we need to take this into account.

Yes ideally we could keep Stucky, Rip and Tay intact. Thing is the Pistons have become so predictable that adding a strong inside force would really open things up for everyone else.

Surely a franchise type player, and a supposedly dominant big man at that, would have his team doing better than 19 and 34? Surely?

A young David Robinson he is not. But he will be commanding a MAMMOTH contract. Money better spent else where IMHO. Where that money should be spent is the topic of another thread.

Now it is possible that we acquire him and he transforms our team. Possible. Based on the evidence available, I just don't see how.

I don't think anyone expects Bosh to be a savior. At least I don't expect that. But you could build around Stuckey and Bosh with other solid players. Even though he is already averaging a 20-10, Bosh is still young and has alot of room to improve - especially on the defensive side of the ball. I think you can explain the Raptor's record by asking yourself who he has on his team that is any good. Jose Calderon is a good point guard yes but other than that? Jermaine O'Neal is washed up and Bargiani is garbage right now.

    Instead of trading Tay.

Buy AI out. Save several million in doing so.

Now, start Stuckey, Afflalo, Tay, Amir, Sheed.

You use Stuckey and Tay as your two primary scorers, with Sheed and Afflalo out there to spread the floor. (Assuming Afflalo will shoot better playing regularly and getting lots of shots up.)

You start every game with four pretty darn solid defenders, in Tay, Afflalo, Sheed, and Amir. Heck, even Stuckey has potential to become a good defender.

Rip continues to come off the bench, providing tremendous scoring punch while the starters are rested.

No way anyone is buying AI out. Closing thing to (which I think would actually help) is bringing him off the bench instead of RIP.
