The 13th guy gets to put on his uniform in real game conditions though, which is invaluable experience.
This sums up my 11th grade season of high school basketball perfectly. Much like Darko, my best moments as a Junior came during pre-game warmups. Unlike Darko, I worked hard and came back the next year a way better playa' and got some minutes. ...& I still killed it in warmups!
Monroe > Cousins. Period. He's now 5-1 against Cousins and Cousins' Kings were always better than the Pistons teams of late. I watched the game with the Sacto announcers for some reason, and they were totally gaga over Daye. That big lineup (Knight-Daye-Prince-Moose-Drum) was really good.
Those Sac announcers were horrible. They had no real clue as to Drummond. One announces stated that until he corrects his FT's, he's not capable of becoming a starter.

I am pretty sure you can play all 13. We have already. I will go double check this though. Yes, we played 13 guys on December 21 when we beat Washington 100-68. Now, who knows, maybe there is a rule that in blowouts, the opposing coach can ok the use of all 13? But for sure, we did use 13 guys that game.
Yes, but Sacto would probably ride out Cousins' rookie contract. They can land much more than Daye/Stuckey in two years. Plus, they don't have a replacement for Cousins. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if somehow the Lakeshow lands Cousins in a multi-team deal that involves Pau Gasol.
This. Just because he can't shoot and NEEDS to dominate the ball doesn't mean he should be starting, 11 assist game notwithstanding. The balance of the second unit is better with only one ball dominant slasher (be it Bynum or Collider, and I prefer the Collider) surrounded by 3 point shooters and backed up by a guy that could very well be the team's best player down the line. Stick 'em with Maxiell and see how (in)effective they are. Everyone can see the meh spacing the SL has right now, right? Stuck would aggravate that AND he'd have no driving lanes. He'd also have to play within the terribad run around like a chicken with your head cut off/stand in corner offense in lieu of the more open pick and roll the second unit runs (this is thanks to Tay and Greg). The Rodney is strong within a lot of people these days.
Dont stick him with the second unit...Bynum is good with the second unit because he is the only guard that seems able/willing to throw the lob to Dre and actually looks to keep the big fella involved on the offensive end. He Knows that this is what is gonna keep the big fella into the game and this ensures Dre covering the teams back on the defensive end...All of the second unit for that matter seem to look for a bunny for Dre whenever they can, To me this second unit is working very well within themselves and seem to have WAYY better chemistry than the starting unit...could this be because of the assistant coaches working with the second unit? if so? it really puts a spotlight on the head coaches shortcomings as far as teaching.
I think the Pistons should have a minimum of 3 shooters on the floor at a time. That is why I would play Bynum over Stuckey even if Hot Rod is more consistent. When Bynum has it going he is way more versatile offensively.
I'm not sure how Bynum is making all these 3's lately. That J is not pretty. With Villanueva, I've learned that there is no such thing as a bad shot for him. They all have an equal chance of going in no matter what the circumstances... including free throws.
When Bynum has it going he is by far the best (offensive) player on this team, he's virtually unstoppable, he's the only player on this team capable of putting up 20 points in a quarter.....problem is, when he doesn't have it going and tries to get it going, it can get ugly; but with this second unit it seems as if he has found a happy medium.
