We should give Sammy a 12 million dollar deal to ride the pine next year
Can't we just waive or release jr or fabio and re sign Sammy??
Very good question. I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens.
Just hate for Sammy to get lost in the shuffle like Acker and Blalock did and never realize his full potential.
It seems to me that Mejia is a heck of a lot better than Acker and Blalock. If he doesn't wind up with us, someone else will give him a shot if keeps this kind of scoring and shooting up.
Don't forget Ricky Paulding....
EWE BASKETS OLDENBURG - HOME Rickey Paulding - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I didn't forget about Ricky Pauding, but i did forget his name, thanks for the reminder Bill. Says in Wikpedia that Paulding led Renaissance High to a 27-3 record in what I guess may have been 2000. Did they win the PSL or finish in the state finals that year??
But Mejia had 5 turnovers. Can't play for Pistons if you can't take care of the ball.
41 points!?!? Any way Dupree could put up those numbers in the D-League? Nope. Dumars was on fire in last year's draft.
how much say do we have in how the coaches run that team? that whole coaching staff needs to go, there only teaching half the game down there and not the important half. scorers are alot easier to find then good defensive players and if a d leager normally makes the big time its there energy and defensive effort that keeps them up. I'm for dropping one of the two newbies... most likely not braz as we can use him more this year, getting meij back under contract and letting him and samb learn to play detroit ball down there.... but wow do they need a change in mindset down there.... It loyala Mar all over again down there from the boxscores i see.
We have a ready made roster spot for Mejia. Either Murray will get waived, or we will trade his expiring contract.
Hey, don't forget, we still need to sign Webber, just in case.
If Hamilton has a season-ending injury tonight, then Murray is called into action as insurance. Mejia could be a nice player in this league someday, but he isn't ready right now to be counted on by a team looking to win the 2008 NBA Championship.
If Rip has a season ending injury at any time before the Finals are done we can forget winning the ring this year. No way we win without him. Sorry Stackhouse fans.
I can't imagine Murray playing under any circumstance. Afflalo is so much the better player, especially due to his defense. Mejia is a better defender than Afflalo. Anyone who plays that level of D, and can rebound like that, can play, right now, in this league.
If Mejia is so good, why do you think Dumars waived him? Is it just that you have a more keen eye for evaluating NBA talent than Dumars?
Ouch!! Big time zinger. Lambs: You are in top form today. LOL
Joe makes mistakes on occasion.
No doubt, but Dumars has 100x as much knowledge about Mejia as the casual Internet fan. If Joe did make a mistake by waiving Mejia, then why hasn't someone else (Clippers, Heat, Bobcats, TWolves, etc.) sweeped him up yet?
