It's been said that Chelios is a freak of nature...I think it's more about his work ethic. It was cool he got ice time at Wrigley yesterday.

Man, I remember that like it was yesterday. People were pissed we kept playing big ball, and fans were crying to see what Tony Fuller could bring from the bench.

Chelios is an offseason workout fanatic. When his teammates were pounding beers and smoking in the 80s, he was doing conditioning.

If you've seen him with his shirt off, he's more cut than a lot of 20 year old players.

Now that I think about it, it's sorta sad (pathetic). I've known a few people who lived a public life and it's not non-stop glamour. It is cruising around drunk at 1 am looking for oral sex. It is the loneliness and weirdness of that lifestyle. It's suicide attempts, self-abuse and emotional instability.

Henry Rollins says, "Never pay for sex, drugs or office supplies". That Barkley has to, speaks volumes about the quality of his life. Just proves you can have it all, and have nothing at the same time.

Sounds like last week was a much better week for him.

Was he paying for it? i didn't get the impression it was a hooker, but rather just some woman (groupie). And is he married? That would make it a bigger deal. The only major problem here is that he was driving drunk. The driving to get "serviced" thing while sad is not technically illegal.

How long did Marv's little fiasco get him sidelined from his normal NBA duties?

I'd at least expect the same treatment of Barkley, ratings be damned.

I will not judge Charles Barkley negatively. I am just happy that he didn't injure anybody, and happy to see he was cooperative.

He's in another world if he thinks telling the cops that will get him leeway.

Yeah...it's not like having your named tatooed on his ass next to Tater & Jammer's would be anything to brag about.

I think Barkley's gambling has now developed into other addictions.

I also find it funny that Barkley was drinking with Orkel from the TV show Family Matters. Did I do that?????

He's just overindulgent. That, a drinking problem (which may lead to nearly every other vice), and probably just being a stupid person = lethal combo.

But he makes the baby boomers laugh, so it's all good in the eyes of some. He'll probably keep his job. I like Barkley but something's gotta give.
