    I would say that he is already eligible as a player since he has not played in 15 years or so. He is probably eligible for coaching too since Larry Brown, Pat Summit, and Geno are allready in and are still currently coaching...someone just has to nominate him...and that may not happen until he gets 2 more rings and possibly decides to retire..

    5 years is how long you have to wait to become eligible for the HOF. I was actually having this discussion on another board on why Rodman isn't in the HOF, when he clearly should be. He's been retired for about 8 years now, I think.
