Right, this conversation was started when we were discussing fast break options. And I agree with you that shot selection and shot type are the major difference in the numbers.

I feel pretty comfortable that either one of these guys can finish adequately if they are the last one to touch the ball on the fast break.

Good points. I'd say a much higher percentage of Hamilton's layups were uncontested vs. what shots Stuckey was taking last year.

I'd actually take Stuckey in both situations. His quickness edge and better ball handling would be better suited in a fastbreak situation. Hamilton has height, but his handles are still horrible.

Rip is a high dribbler. He should spend a summer only working on his handle. That would take him to a new level.

A lot of times on the break you can catch the ball at the 3-point line and not bother dribbling. So, he's got that going for him.

Easily. Hamilton even tryin to 'get' his own shot is usually a disaster waiting to happen.

If Stuck would have defended Wade like that, the whistle would have been blown as hell... I hate the league for its double- standards.

Yeah, that was a blatant foul. Of course Wade also stepped out of bounds after the "block", another bogus non call.

I was pretty pissed after that game

now that you say it, yes, that makes me hate the double standard thing even more. He seems to have been out of bounds pretty oviously. Of course not for the refs. What a joke. Too bad that the commentators aren't very critical of things like these either.

Someone said Stuckey could get his own shot better than Rip. But does that matter when they play off of you because you can't shoot and you are a generally mediocre finisher?

Of course those hilites were of Magic game whom we own.
No one is saying Rip sucks.
But didn't he grieve last year trying to get his own shot ? Having lost his meal ticket.
