Hey all,

Slippy asked me to post this.

He is dilligently working on improving the rules to the murder@pf.com game. He is hoping for an even larger turnout this time based on the overwhelming success of the last game.

Slippy needs an idea of how many are playing because that will affect what type of rules he can implement to make the game balanced, fair,and competitive. He is revamping the clue system and may have multiple murderers. Should be loads of fun.

Please sign up in this thread if you will be playing. Everyone is welcome and don't be afraid to sign up if you are a little (or a lot) unclear on the rules. Everything will fall into place.

and then do the thing where you're in a hallway of doors and as you run into one, the murderer goes in to follow you and you come out another...etc.

I'm interested, but unfortunately I spend a lot of my life walking around in a daze, and this might too complicated for me. [SIGN]Huh??[/SIGN] Could someone please post a "for dummies" version of the rules? Maybe with some nice pictures?

Sure thing. Slippy is coming out with a new set of rules but for now...

Basically, Slippy runs the game. He chooses a murderer or two and nobody but slippy knows who they are. They leave clues in posts (such as previously determined basketball words). Before they had to name the victim but it was too easy to catch them so that's changing.

Anyhow, after a killing is announced by slippy, everyone in the game (including the hidden murderer) has to vote on who they think killed the victim. (Hopefully the victim or the accused is named Linwood, but I digress). The victim has a letter pinned to his chest which is part of the basketball word which is a clue.

So whomever gets the most votes from their peers wins the dubious distinction of getting hanged. If it's the correct person the game is over (unless another murderer lurks about). If it's the wrong person hanged ...well...oops...say sorry.

So thats the basics. Slippy is woking on the particulars. Not to worry, because slippy will help you if you are the murderer. A few of the innocents were confused on the rules last game, but nobody minded, so don't let that stop you.
