Agree with Walter. He decided to come back and so he needs to live with the consequences. And he's being paid rather handsomely to figuratively not show up. He's like a walking bad example if that's the case. "Remember kids, this is a bad example you need not follow." Having a dynamic 3 that plays hard on defense 100% of the time and doesn't stagnate the offense would be so nice.

Oh no. You deleted one of your double posts. Now, my post makes no sense. I'm sure that's the first of its kind.

I used to like Perry Jones until I read he play with no heart, withou enthusiasm, he is unconsistent.

In order of who should we draft.

Anthony Davis, If not available, Drummond, if not, Kidd Gilchrist, if not, Harrison Barnes.

Then Thomas Robinson, Cody Zeller,, Jared Sullinger..

What if Austin Rivers is sitting their on the board when it's the Pistons turn to pick? The Pistons would be set at the guard position for the next decade.

Isn't Rivers predicted to go in the 15-20 range? If I was going for Rivers I'd try to trade our 1st for Houstons ~15th and ~20th and hope he's still on the board at ~15th. I'd rather take a shot at a big with our pick though.

Edit: I see Houston is at 14th and 17th now. That might be tough to get for 9th.

Rivers slotted at the #9 slot here. Pistons also slotted at the #9 slot. Interesting....

In the current Mock by DraftExpress the Pistons get PF Perry Jones and Tomas Satoransky, a combo guard without range from Eastern Europe. Joe might pick this guy with our 1st. We are also set for a PF from Turkey, Furkan Aldemir with the pick we are getting from Houston.

I just looked at the DraftExpress mock and they had him at 16th.

I know it's off-topic, but your sig is awesome; IMHO that sketch is one of the greatest Monty Python can ever claim to have done.

I guess we're looking at John Henson/Perry Jones now? Given where we're expected to be picking at on draft night, if we come away with one of the former two, I'm fine with that.

Value Picks in 2012 NBA Draft | NBADraft.net

A look at some potential value picks in this draft. If we end up staying at 9, perhaps we could trade this and one of our 2nd rounders to move down and have a couple of mid-1st rounders and snag a couple of these guys. Houston is a candidate (14 + 16) and also Boston (21 + 22). The Boston trade would be especially interesting as the 9th pick might enable them to select Austin Rivers.

Otherwise we are looking at taking a chance on Perry Jones or John Henson and not much else. See: Jones v Harkless as an example

To do that you have to study real hard this draft class.. And I don't know if Joe D. pays that much atention to the scouts and that.. Of course he o the general view, ups and downs of each pick, but don't know how far he gets.

yes you have a Kemba Walker and Isiah Thomas.. but how many pg were drafted in the midle and ended up being really awful? .. There is a big margin of error. of course, high risk and a possible high reward.

Looking like we may have a shot at a good player at number 9. Henson's weight issues are starting to concern me; still think he would be a better pick than Zeller/Sullinger/Leonard though - I'm thinking anyone but them or a guard and I'm good.
