Gilbert did not take it well. I do not know what people expected. Lebron wants to win and he did not think he could win in Cleveland. Of course he will take major grief over this. They are not going to win. Wade is a punk and Lebron is a punk. I cant stand both of them. Drama queens that all. Cleveland should move on.
Maybe he is not being politically correct, but can you blame him. Lebron had a very puzzling series against Celts. Gilbert just lost his team today. Of course, his reaction would be over the top. He is the owner of a team that has lost one of the best players in the league. I thought it was quite refreshing actually. He is saying what many Cavs fans think. Lebron held them hostage and embarrassed the city on national television. Lebron is a spoiled punk and most people know it. Now he is with another punk, Dwayne Wad. I am going to say it....I would actually root for the Celtics against the Heat.
If Gilbert is a businessman first and foremost, maybe what really sticks in his craw is that the value of his franchise took a huge hit today. I would have to believe that, as of this evening, his team is worth far less today than what he paid for it a few years ago.
This move was a no-brainer on LeBron's part, especially after Chicago signed Carlos Boozer. Does nobody remember anything in this league? LeBron should dislike Boozer to the Nth degree after Carlos tricked Gund into letting him out of the remaining time on his contract and proceeded to bolt and set both the Cavs and LeBron back some years of talent acquisition in the process. That being said, this is supposed to be the summer of LeBron, and no matter where else James would have went he wouldn't have been the "winner" as much as he is right now being paired up as a member of younger and more dynamic versions of Bostons big three. We can question whether or not this will work out all we want. We can make Grant Hill comparisons, but lets keep these two things in mind- Grant Hill signed with the Magic while being supported by crutches. And there is nothing we can say about the Heat that wasn't said (even by me) about Boston's "Big Three". Very good role players took less cash to play in Boston, and very good role players will take less money to play with James & co. under the Florida sun with the beach just a stones throw away. This was the best move LeBron could have made if he really wanted a chance to win championships.
I wonder if the Nets are still happy they traded Yi for a half eaten Dorito..... LeBron just ticked off a Russian Billionaire..and "Feds been tryin' to build a case since '93" JayZ. I smell a hit.
Gilbert wrote in the letter that the Cavs would win a title before the Heat would. Couldn't win one with LeBron, what makes him think he will win one without him? Glad LeBron went to Miami. It makes the Association that much more interesting, particularly if they DON'T win it all. Pressure is on, Bron-bron.
Is is really much of a stretch, however, to consider that LeBron may have realized that the only thing that could prevent him from realizing his impending payday would be a career ending injury? It could very well have kept him from going all out during the playoffs on a subconscious level.
8 people somehow voted for Miami in this poll, even though the count was something like 4 when the Heat got the good news. Some of us are sneaky.
Other than Heat fans & LBJ, Wade & Bosh lovers, I guess 99% of NBA fans would love to support whatever teams the Heat plays. Even if the Heat wins the next 6 NBA Championships, LBJ will never be in the same league as MJ & Kobe. What a loser!!!
If that happens, I think they would have to steal Stuckey's best new nickname and change the team name: The Miami Super-Colliders.
It gets really weird LeBron James' advisor and the curse of the diamond jersey - Ball Don't Lie - NBA - Yahoo! Sports
