Yeah but CP has lead the league in steals 5 out of the last six years and is on pace to lead it again this season. Both Magic and Stockton led the league only twice each. We could always use a guard that can dish, play defense and pick the pocket of the opposing teams players an average of 2.6 thefts a game.....and with a low TO ratio...

I am looking a Burke as future CP3...just depends on drafts him and helps him hone his skills.

if anything they have to be able to give up on some projects. They are still trying with Stuckey! BK is looking like a lost cause but how long will this go on for?
Monroe is looking like a pretty solid player but fear is Dumars will over pay for him.

On a plus note our team stats Points for/Against are he best they have been in years. May even break even this year.

No, he has NBA-caliber studs to pass it to. All Magic had was Special K.

Three Wolverines drafted in the top 20? Is that possible?

I watch a lot of Mich basketball. I don't see Burke ever picking a lot of pockets?

Burke's got a shot this year. GR3's got a shot the next. McGary could in a few years. Stauskas might actually have a better shot than him in a few. Hardaway's probably a 2nd rounder next year (unless he improves a great deal). Horford, I think, will actually end up being a second rounder - d-league project if he can ever stay healthy.

TB3's defense isn't on par with CP3 at all....or yet) But his shooting and ability to control the offense and find the open man is NBA caliber and makes him a top 5 pick when all is said and done

This board has Hardaway as a 1st rounder THIS YEAR:

    #13 - Glenn Robinson III
    #21 - Trey Burke
    #27 - Tim Hardaway Jr.

Kentucky had four drafted in the top 20 in 2010...John Wall (1), Demarques Cousins (5), Patrick Patterson (14), Eric Bledsoe (18).....and three of the four were freshmen...:noidea:

Hopefully these young Wolverines don't do what the 2010 Kentucky Wildcats did and all of them decide to leave at the same time without winning the NCAA championship.....as I don't think they can reload and win the whole thing two years later like the Wildcats did.

I don't think any of those guys are ready for the NBA aside from Burke. And it'd be a shame if they left early. John Beilein's as good a teacher of basketball as there is on the planet.

Hopefully the younger players see the money that Burke made by coming back for the 2nd year. So wish players would stay 3-4 years as a rule with the odd player going earlier... the number of busts at the NBA level sure would go down, and players and teams would be well served with players entering the NBA with there basic skills already learned.

Even if you are a bust, you're going to make $10-$15 million if you land in the lottery. Depending on how the year goes, all three UM guys could go lottery.

That pales in comparison to the life experience they'd gain with an extra year of school.

Also, if they ever fall out of the NBA, their communications or sports management degrees would give them a great fall back option.

How does college = life experience?

College might = fundamentals education, but for most people, the primary purpose to go to college is to get an education and find employment. These guys found it.
