I'd go for that.
I don't think pole dancers should be named Ernie.
I don't like this one because it doesn't give DET someone who can go and get their own shot and in turn get some easy shots for someone else. This is problem numero uno to me and it far surpasses the need for better bigs.
I agree. For what Turkeyglue brings, someone ELSE can be had for much cheaper anyway. ...and isn't THAT the Piston mantra?
Watching Turk palm the ball outside the 3pt line instead of Tay would be an interesting change, don't you think? After watching this season, I'd rather have Hedo attempting the game winning/tying 3 pointer than Sheed or Fabio.
I would look forward to Lee calling him the Turk in his Leecaps though.
Sheed was neverf personally quoted, but the news is running with this like he has been. Even Still...Thanks For the The Trophy and the good years!!!
I guess we will have one false Sheed story per week until he either retires or signs with a team.
Its going to be harder than you think to find another Center/PF who can replace his 40% shooting and to piss off the refs so we don't get any calls. Now you can find a lot of guys who will lay down in the playoffs but all the other stuff will be hard to replace.
Good point Spurs? Sheed at the 4 and Howard at the 5 IMO, but i agree.
I've heard the Spurs rumor before. His 3 point shooting would really compliment Duncan's interior post play well.
Yes but that was a while ago. I think Walter Herman has a better chance of getting picked up now.
If Sheed is smart, and he has always been smart. I would pick (beg) for Dallas.
Yeah. San Antonio, ...Cleveland, ...Orlando, ...Boston, ...Dallas, ...The Lakers. Heck, George Karl is a Tarheel.
We do need soeme new blood. It will be easy to replace sheeds body and attitude. His potential will be more difficult.
Well, we could trade for a "1st Round Fence" like McGrady.
Can't say that anymore though. I don't think he has played at all though. I am not totally blaming Sheed for everything. Over the past 3 ECF's Prince was always tired and either Rip or CB ( one or the other ) was always hurt. Thats why I am skeptical about the Nuggets. Kind of waiting for that groin pull or ankle sprain or whatever to happen.
IMO, won't happen. Look at CB's minutes.
According to NBA.com stats, CB played 35.3 MPG this year with Denver. With us he played: 2006: 36.1 2007: 36.2 2008: 32.3 So he's up from last year, but pretty much in-line with his career averages. In the playoffs though, he's at about 36.3 MPG so far, whereas in past years his minutes ramped up to about 40 MPG in the playoffs. GK must be keeping a more consistent rotation with the reg. season. It looked to me like CB came into camp this year in better shape than last year, so that might help him prevent late season injuries. I think a lot of luck goes into the injury thing as well. His injury last year was kind of fluky, where he got his foot tangled with Jameer's and just overextended. The only way to prevent something like that is to increase flexibility so it does not hurt you as bad. Who knows; maybe he worked on that in the off-season as well. Hopefully he stays healthy for Denver's run this year.
