it would be nice to keep dice on ice, but we got to move on the youth movement and be ready to challenge in 2011 when the Celtics age finally takes it toll and Kobe and Artest finally blow up their team the same way Kobe and Shaq did in 2004.

As long as were in playoff contention I wouldn't mind waiting until 2011 for title contention.

I'm really excited of how Pop uses McDyess.

Nice guy. Figures San Antonio wants him. Great fit, IMO.

Barb in San Antonio, wherever you are, I'm happy he is going to your team.

    For you and him. :)

I'd rather see him stay in Detroit. We need his energy, smarts and leadership in the locker room. I don't want to help the Spurs, Magic, Boston, Cleveland or anyone else. I'd like to see him stay here and maybe get a big mans coaching assistant gig down the line.

I'm stoked for Dyess if this is where he ends up.

I hate to admit it but SA is the team that I end up pulling for when the Pistons are out of it.

Same here. I selfishly wish Dice would stay, but I think it's better off for him to go there. I will be cheering him on there.

Great for Dyess. Hopefully he gets his ring with that organization.

Good deal. Do the Spurs have the same salary cap as everyone else?

If healthy, that's a pretty scary team

My guess would be that Pops won't start Dyess, but Oberto or whoever their flunky big man is this year. He will probably try and have either Duncan or Dyess on the floor at all times with some overlap.

Yeah. Spurs used their MLE and Bi-Annual exceptions to add two pieces.

I didn't think Antonio was coming back. He took a massive paycut to buyout of Denver and return to Detroit last year. Joe owed him a payday, and probably told him to find it elsewhere.

Not to mention, we won't be a title contender this year. Not even close.

So, he still owes him a payday.
