""""""""Lions center Dominic Raiola, who was also the starter when Detroit's previous first-round quarterback began his career, doesn't see many comparisons between Stafford and Joey Harrington. "I don't want to talk about the past, but they are totally different," he said. "I don't even look at Matt as a rookie any more, the way he's progressed through training camp and the preseason. I'm very confident with him back there.""""""
My favorite was the text at the bottom of the screen saying, "NFL pros told the Lions to work hard or they might end up like Drew Henson"
Wow, that's a very misleading headline. No one has said that they were displeased with the decision, they just feel for Culpepper. Apparently those guys didn't read this article. I really like the way C-Pep has handled it. His prepared statement was very classy. Actually, I really like the way Schwartz handled it from the beginning. He rotated each of the QBs well in practice, he said the right things (that it was an open competition and that he wouldn't name a starter until after the 4th pre-season game), I believe that he meant it and then he stuck to his word. Despite a few rookie mistakes, I think Stafford outplayed Culpepper in the pre-season. Of course, I also think that Stanton outplayed both of them.
