Did the Pistons get rid of AJ?

They need at least one exceptional pick this year to go with AJ. If they do that and Joe D. can pull off a creative trade or two the Pistons will be in great shape provided that they play AJ year more than Darko minutes. Time to bring in the new and ship out the old.

Sign and trade C-Bill, trade Sheed and give Nazr away even if we have to eat half of his remaining salary.

Nothing new or interesting. He's relying on regular season statistics to justify salaries.

I appreciate that people have to write a cap article for each team on those general NBA sites, but at least get someone who understands the cap to write about it...

:pound:Like the part where he says "700,000 Webber is better than 17.6 million dollar Webber".

We all do. It is a good thing that they didn't sign him for much. But I'd rather see Delfino get the minutes.

Yep it was a decent deal, either he plays OK/Well and opts out or you get him to renew cheaply and then he is easily moveable as he is fairly young and on an expiring deal.

Wish we could say anything positive about Nazr's deal.

Maybe we should just give Nazr 20 mins a game and be happy if he can play near even +/- basketball.

Of course he did get a shot blocked by Donyell Marshall in game 6, which is a good indication it may be time to retire...

Marshall was always known as a decent shot blocker (not great, not good, but decent enough) so I wouldn't look at that as an issue. I also don't think that playing Nazr for 20 minutes would hurt any, especially during the regular season. He is an average player and should be able to hold his own.

Yeah, but now he's old as hell. and Nazr got up 1 shot in the series and got it destroyed by a SF/PF tweener... Great.
