    Starters:
    PG- Stuckey
    SG-Hamilton
    SF- Prince
    PF- Monroe
    C- Wallace

    Reserves:
PG- Will Bynum (FA) or Atkins/White
    SG- Ben Gordon/Daye
    SF- Jonas Jerebko/ Dejuan Summers
    PF- Charlie Villenueva
    C- Jason Maxiell, Chris Wilcox

This roster is a mess. Lots of capable players fighting for PT and nobody we can really count on every single night other than Ben Wallace and maybe Jonas Jerebko. If Wallace were 5 years younger, and Prince were Carmelo Anthony we would probably be contenders, but I digress. We really aren't that far away, but other than a blockbuster trade I don't see us being drastically improved. And looking at the free agent options, well... I won't hold my breath there either.

I just don't see a Chauncey Billup or Antonio McDyess like steal in this free agency class. Go to work Joe!

Play of the young players will determine how far away or close we are. It's a crapshoot at this time.

    Dumars Check List

    Sign another guard

Find 2 free agents who play the same position as Monroe and White so the rookies hardly ever play

Trade Jerebko and Summers for future 2nd round picks

    Sign another guard

Prepare statements on how great I am and how last year was not my fault.

Check into signing another combo guard.

    You forgot one:

Trade Daye + Stuckey + Hamilton + Prince + Monroe in exchange of Allen Iverson.

(I know Iverson is not in a team yet, but I read that he wants to come back this year.. So Joe D have to wait where Iverson signs, and then give all those players for him..)

We need to get rid of the following contracts in the following order:
    Gordon
    Villanueva
    Rip
    Maxiell
These guys are relatively high priced for what they are. Rip is the only legit starter and he's about to be on the downside of his career. The rest are overpaid, one-dimensional 6th men.

Would recommend keeping these guys in the following order:
    Monroe
    Jerebko
    Stuckey
    White
    Bynum

Mainly because their salaries are great, they have good attitudes, and they have upside.

Would be happy keeping Tay and renegotiating with him when he's a FA, letting him fall off the books completely, or trading his expiring to a team who needs a veteran glue guy/ defender to get over the hump.

The last two years would suggest that he's already there.

    Year/ PPG/ APG/ FTA
    2008/ 18.5/ 4.4/ 3.3
    2009/ 19.4/ 4.7/ 4.4
    2010/ 19.3/ 4.7/ 5.6

It's not that clear. The team's lack of success might be swaying your opinion.

His rebounding has weakened and his shooting percentage has taken a dive (along with the team's). He's still the leading scorer on the team per game.
