Espn.com's rumor mill is reporting that the Pistons offered the warriors Prince 4 Jackson, but it reportedly got nixed.

    I'd be conflicted.

Jack-ass is a better player but I think that Tay just might be a more tradable asset. I can't see Joe ever making this deal anyway.

Jackson is signed for two more years than Prince. Can he really go four seasons without blowing up?

I could've gone with that trade last year. But, not now. Getting Stephen Jackson on this team now would be like letting a registered sex offender to take your daughter to the prom.

How many teams would choose SJ over Kobe if price was no object?

That's my point. Last year all chemistry was screwed anyways, so he couldn't have made it so much worse. This year, at least so far, we seem to have something good brewing in the locker room.

As a side note, the more I think about this trade, the more I think it doesn't make sense. I'd take Prince over SJ in most cases.

Please...Sheed was the center of his Galaxy. Jackson has his tiny version of the universe.

No thanks. He's a bad example for the young guys. And he's old. Only way I'd do it is if his contract was expiring.

It's hard to evaluate any player from last year's atrocity of a season. I might be in the minority, but I'm fully expecting Tayshaun Prince to rebound with a strong season this year. If the team is to have a defensive identity again, he's my choice to lead the charge.

In other words, I would tell Howie, "NO DEAL!" I still believe in the Prince of the Palace.

Great idea, can always use another guard.

Just says there was talk and the trade was nixed. It's part of the insider which I don't have access to.

I have a hard time believing this.

it might have been thrown around pre AI trade, but no way was Dumars thinking about this trade lately.... well I sure hope not.

If am keeping up with my NBA news right...

this is the same Jackson that had 5 fouls in 10 mins last week because he wants to be traded and didn't want to play...

the same Jackson that was stripped of his Capt title and said good, he didn't want to help the young players become better....

said he didn't want to be a leader or role model....

the guy may have loads of talent but were rebuilding and need to mold young talent and don't need his attitude around this team.
