These are some good ones. The malice is one of the weirdest, but it's been rehashed so many times that it doesn't even seem weird anymore.

What is stranger than Ron Artest laying on his side on a scorer's table sipping a bottle of water while a player punches a fan in the face?

The Rip lookalike was classic indeed.

Does hiring Dick Vitale count as a strange moment?

There are a couple of ones I always wish I could find on youtube...

One was the time Rip dunked in a playoff game and the ball went through the net. bounced off his head and went back up through the net. The basket was no good due to basket interference.

The other one was in a playoff game when Tayshaun was lighting it up. The camara finds this guy in the crowd with a turban on holding up this sign that said...His Name is Prince and He is Funky...best sign ever.

Has to be when someone stole one of Adrian Dantley's custom made sneakers during the playoffs. One of this legs was apparently longer than the other.

Speaking of Adrian Dantley, the 1987 collison between him and Vinnie Johnson was certainly strange....and unlucky for the Pistons. Detroit probably was on its way to the Finals before this unfortunate event. This was at the end of the 3rd quarter in game 7 of the ECF.

It happens about 2 minutes in:

Can't remember what year it was but that reg season game where the 'Jersey Nets broke 70 points in a loss against the Goin' 2 Work crew. They celebrated like they'd won a championship.

That is for sure in my top 10 Pistons memories!

New Jersey Nets vs. Detroit Pistons - Recap - May 03, 2004 - ESPN

Here is a rehashing of one of the best games in basketball history. Note that this game occured in the playoffs in the same season as NJ's infamous celebration.

Man, I loved the '03-'08 Pistons. What a core.

Here is my only problem with basking in the nostalgia of humiliating the Nets that year... they were coached by Lawrence Frank.

I know, I was searching You Tube last night to look for stuff for this thread and found a bunch of stuff on these guys. I ended up getting bummed out. I hate some of these guys now.

My strange entry would be the Pistons playing the Celtics in Boston during the playoffs sometime in the mid-80's and the team forgot to bring Isiah Thomas's uniform on the trip. I too couldn't find anything on this one.

Anyone remember what year that was? I'm not imagining this am I?

I thought it was for an all-star game or something. I do remember something like there where they went and bought one retail and it wasn't quite right.
