Stuckey is a serious 6th man of the year candidate through the first month of the season. He's playing within himself, his D is pretty good, and he is making plays and tough shots with less colliding than in seasons past.

I think it's time we give him his due.

Maybe he will get an All Star weekend appearance in the Sophomore game.

But honestly, he has been playing really well. Question is, does it hold up through to March?

I'm shocked at how efficient he is when he posts up.

That's called using physicality to your advantage. Not colliding.

He played well today. Usually I can't stand him, but today he did a real nice job.....

I think he's finally in a system or role that fits him. (This is how he played in G5 of the '08 Celtics series.)

He gets the ball a lot 15-17' away facing the basket and he's been respectfully aggressive.

A pleasant surprise and a check mark next to Mr Maurice Cheeks name.

I think the assistant coach that looks like Conan O'Brien deserves some credit also for helping him relax.

But do any of us truly trust that this will last? And if it does..........does Joe extend him? I get queezy thinking about all of this.

Stuckey was one of, if not our best player today. And he's been playing great off the bench, mostly as a 2 (the position Lee says he can't play).

I don't expect him to lead us deep into the playoffs, but hey, the results speak for themselves. He had a masterful game today.

Stuckey, as the point, helped us take command of this game late 3rd, early fourth quarter.

This team has talent, Jennings, while he plays like a moron is not void of talent in the way that Brandon Knight was. Monroe has talent, Smith, Drummond....it's there. When we all fell in quasi-love with Stuckey it was as a rookie backing up a talented (albeit aging) backcourt for a talented team. He flourished, we thought he had another gear, he didn't. He's right back to the place of familiarity that he flourished in, as an OFF THE BENCH COMBO GUARD. I hope it lasts....well, I kind of hope it lasts.....if it lasts Joe WILL give him another 3 year contract worth at least $20M, which is very reasonable for the player we've been watching play this season.....but again, this is Rodney Stuckey we're talking about. I've never been so conflicted!

I think he's good for about 10 minutes of PG duty, plus he and KCP make up our best defensive backcourt, add in Drummond and SMith and that SHOULD be a pretty good defensive unit .....even with Singler at SF, especially against another teams bench.

After tonight's game against Brooklyn his season stats are magnificent. In 27 mpg he's averaging almost 15 ppg, shooting 46% from the floor, 38.9% from the arc and 84.4% from the stripe. Impressive.

If you take his perceived value over his career and compare it to his contracts...We owe Rodney a 3 year - 9 million dollar contract.

If I were mean I'd talk about the motivating effects of a contract year and the possibility of getting noticed by and moved to a contender mid year.

But I'm a nice person. Go Rodney!

What happens when Rod puts up a few consecutive 4-15 performances?
Does he regain his rookie status?

    Yes.
    ...better hurry!
