Before the season started curry said stuckey would play 25-30 minutes.

Now he's saying afflalo will backup rip and herrmann will backup tay every night.

So how is stuckey gonna play 25-30 minutes a night if he only gonna be backing up billups and getting a couple backup sg minutes

I think Curry is planning on having a lot of overtime games.

The part about CB and Stuckey that I like is that they have very different games. While they are both big for PG's, they have different styles and abilities.

There are 96 guard minutes per night. Last night, because of the end game situation, we gave our guards 98 minutes.

    CB- 33
    Rip- 35
    RS- 16
    AA- 14

So, I think you are correct to assume that in reality, Stuck probably won't average 30 min per game. He'll probably have several games where he gets to that number, if he is playing well, or if we have big lead/ deficit.

If we give CB and Rip 30 min on average and keep AA at 12, then Stuck should average out to about 24, which I think is a good level.

What a wonderful problem to have though. And the best part about it is that it doesn't seem to be a prob for Stuckey.

    I considered that as well.
I wasn't brave enough to post it though.

A lot of people have already cleared a spot in the Palace rafters for Stuck's jersey when he's done playing.

This was also only one game. With Herrrrman doing well they didn't go with a 3 guard set.

Curry is hoping for some games where we are blowing out the opposition so Stuck can handle the load and give CB a half night off every now and then. There may be some games against lesser teams when CB needs to only play 20 minutes and Stuck can get more. These games will increase that average depending on how many blow outs we have.

I think Stuckey would have played more minutes last night if not for the silly foul trouble. Not sure if he needs play 25 minutes though if we have Alf back there to provide the defense too and Tay can run the small forward point.

Stuckey is good at creating offense going to the hoop in contrast to CB attacking and then backing off. He just needs to look more for the open man when he is out there with the second unit and don't force any shots

One other thing we can't have happening is Rip with 5+ turnovers a game.

Stuckey's ability to steal the ball and rebound are pretty nice too.

On defense, Stuck has the same problems Amir has. He is very physically talented and needs to refine his balance between gambling and conservative tactics when guarding his man and helping. I have no doubt that they will figure it out. In the meantime, it's not like it's a big problem, just a little something to iron out.

I was thinking the same thing on both occasions. He definitely can't have 5+ turnovers a game. And I definitely don't know what was wrong with him last night. He was just fouling stupidly :stupid:

A lot of fans of other team who hates the Pistons love Stuckey.

But Billups has to stay...he's top 5 PG in the league and cheap.

That would be my fault... he's a member of the Round's Turnovers and he's trying to lead the team by example
