    Good stuff, thanks Bills.

@Merc, re: toe count. I think they make a cream for that.

Chucky didn't do much while Stuckey scored a bunch and led the team in assists.

Stuckey still performed a lot of the PG duties.

I just want to show you that we are not that unusual by not having a very successful passing PG:

Per 36 minutes, here are our assist leaders-

    Bynum 5.5
    Stuck 4.0
    Gordon 3.3

    Here are some other teams:
    Heat-
    Wade 5.0
    Chalmers 4.8
    Arroyo 4.2

    Bulls-
    Hinrich 5.4
    Rose- 5.3

    76ers-
    Iggy- 5.5
    Holiday- 5.2
    Williams- 5.2

    Bucks-
    Ridnour- 6.0
    Jennings- 5.8
    Redd- 3.4

    Lakers-
    Walton- 6.4
    Farmar- 5.3
    Odom- 5.2
    Fisher- 4.2

So, Bynum's assist rate isn't totally out of whack with other teams, especially considering that we play at a slow pace, have some of our leading scorers out, and have only 1 half way skilled offensive big man. Stuckey's assists are too low though, but only by 1 or 2 per game. He might make up for that with all of his scoring and foul drawing someday.

That drive by drive analysis was pretty good.

Another outcome that frequently occurs after a drive and kick out is an extra perimeter pass that swings to an open 3-point shooter. In those instances, the PG doesn't get the assist, but makes the play happen.

We don't have many 3-point shooters and we don't have the Rip in the games. When 3-point shooters or Rip Hamilton catch a pass, there is a high likelihood for an assist and they usually catch and shoot. Chauncey used to get 2-3 no brainer assists per game just because he waited for Rip to curl and threw the ball in his general direction.

If Stuckey passes to Ben Gordon, there is going to be some dribbling

Stuckey did hit Daye for a couple open jumpers off of picks early in that game, which was nice to see. It seems simple enough, but we hadn't seen much of that so far.

Stuckey doesn't handle traps very well at all though, other than the occasional one that he splits, which isn't really a high percentage play for anyone.

It's not about what Chucky did, it's more about what Stuckey doesn't have to do or think about when it's someone else's responsibility to set up the offense. It's obvious to damnear anybody watching him play that he's thinking too much at the point, at the 2, he just plays his game, playing his game netted him 8 asts.

BULLS: Sam Smith: Who is the next coaching casualty?

Well would you please do that here and NOW!!!!
Maybe it's not an issue of Stuckey OR Bynum. What if Will can be a starting PG, with Stuckey at the 2, and Gordon as the assassin coming off the bench?

Excellent points... too bad assists aren't counted like in hockey (pass that led to the pass).
Nobody is saying that Stuckey shouldn't be more aware of his surroundings... but in many cases your assists are only as good as you supporting cast.
Once BG & Rip are back Stuckey needs to be made clearly aware that he is option #3.
