This move actually worked. Andre should offer to buy Max Krispy Kremes the rest of the season.

    8 mil/yr for a limited bench player.

Would be interested to see who has the most expensive benches in the lower half of the league. I'm guessing with Stuckey, BoT and Magette would have us up around the top

This was supposed to be Stuckey's big year and instead he wimps out of the gate and asks to come off the bench. A total flop and failure of a season so far. This was supposed to be our main go to guy. Kind of looking like Stuck may be a good use of the amnesty now. Still time to turn it around I guess.

I wonder how long before Stuckey asks for English to take over his back-up spot.

I wonder how long before Stuckey asks to really help the team, by taking over Bynum's spot at backup point guard. Yeah, and giving the backup shooting guard minutes to English would help too. Maggette is ok there, but I believe English can both help our offense and defense at the same time.

I guess this is why nobody ever asks to come off the bench.

I'm really confused. Are we criticizing Stuckey because he volunteered to come off the bench (after the team won in his absence), or because we don't like him?

"winners always want the ball" is a classic quote from the football movie "The Replacements".
Stuckey should want the ball more.........not be a sub.
Stuckey was also making a proactive move which was to occour anyways.

Have you ever gotten the impression during Stuckey's career that he doesn't want the ball? There's a reason he's called Super Collider (among other things) around here.
That's a very "Monday Morning Quarterback" statement. It might be true, but how do we know?

Absolutly yes. Not paying 8mil/yr for a friggen bench player. We just gave away a 1st round pick to get rid of the last high price bench guard.

Don't forget about essentially giving away Rip (and still footin da bill!) to make room for Gordon who we just paid to get rid of to make room for Stuckey who we'll probably be paying to get rid of to make room for Singler...

If it ain't rough it ain't right!

Rip scored 30 points in his last game, and 22 points the game before. You're welcome, Chicago.

I think Stuckey is back in the role that he should be playing. I like him for 10-15 minutes off of the bench at the PG spot, and another 15 minutes at the other guard spot, more if he's playing well. That's really the role where he can help us.

Is 8 million a lot to pay for a back up? Yes. He'll need to be a sixth man of the year type player to justify that kind of money. I could see him giving us 13+ points off of the bench. If he does that, then he's not ridiculously overpaid.

    Now thats pretty rough.

I was thinking the other day that Stuck may be a good use of the amnesty clause. Maybe Dumars still thinks he may screw up even worse in the next 2 years.

I just think it's funny that in this same thread Stuckey is criticized for making this move because he's being too selfish (wanting the ball) and because he's being too unselfish (not wanting the ball).

    good points........

I feel that he should want the ball. To me, that's not being selfish.
