Looks like they've lost Amare for an extended period.

"Amaré Stoudemire is out for an indeterminate amount of time and could be facing surgery because of the left knee that has been troubling him this summer".

as long as they don't lose nash they'll be okay. he really makes amare look like a better player...remember the Pistons home game vs. the Suns last year when they were without nash? the pistons won that game handily and amare looked downright terrible.

First of all teams that win championships are not the same as other teams. We went with toughness and hardwork, Spurs went for foreign talent, and the Suns WERE a great fastbreak team, but after losing Q and Joe now Amare for some time this team has gotten "average".

Yeah, I think they will be about average. Indiana and Carlisle can play well without half their lineup, but I'd be really surprised to see the Suns do well without those two guys.

Nope, I expect worse. Without Amare..this team doesn't make the playoffs in the West. Look for a slow start.

Honestly I don't know, but my point is only that Amare's absence on this team might be alot more detrimental than people might think. I predict a slow start, in his absence, but they will make up ground quickly upon his return.

It will be a huge factor I agree. The Suns all ready got a lot worse losing Joe, and Q. Now with Amare gone Nash, and Marion are the only starters left on that team for a while, and that''s not good. Think about it thats like us losing Rip, ben, and Sheed amd only having Chauncey, and Tay.

I not only predict a slow start but this team will be in the lottery this year. They blew up there team and got rid of too many key elements. They no longer have those three point threats. They destroyed what worked and now not having Amare is the begining of the end. It will be too big of a hole to over come.:ohwell:

Bummer. I liked them a lot last year. They are in big trouble because Nash can't do it alone. I agree. Lottery time.

    Mvp

I'm sure the MVP will take care of everything.

Bet they wish they still had Joe Johnson

Where's the scoring gonna come from? The question now is: Will the Suns make the playoffs? And the answer is: No way unless somebody emerges. Marion isn't capable of elevating his game, I don't believe.

The Mvp is great at setting up people, and good at scoring himself and with 3 0f 4 starters he played with lastb season are gone. i don't see Nash doing as good.

how funny would it be if Atlanta somehow managed to have a better record than the Suns?

Now that would be some irony! Joe Johnson is smiling somewhere right now. :)
