Post your Superbowl media week news, celeb sightings, party experiences here (but try to keep it PG-13 ;) for the younger members)!!! I won't have time next week to make it over the border so I want details, pics (email me for hosting), news. It's a great time for this area. Let's hope Detroit shows well. I'm sure we'll get the party overflow in Windsor.
Dude somebody said Prostitution was legal in Windsor. Is that true? Everybody here in Vegas wants to know where to go in Det./Wind.
Anyone know if they're going to do a pub crawl downtown this week? My friends and I went on the crawl they held for Super Bowl XVI and it was a blast!
Wink Wink! The Detroit papers have reported that it "might as well be legal" and are blaming your loose Canadian morals for our loss of hotel bookings to Windsor.
I may do a personal pub crawl. Word is that the city is trying to temporarily change the taxicab rules. Right now, you have to call a cab, not hail it, and a cab (except for metrocars and a few specific companies) can't take you from city to burb or vice versa. If the cab is available, I might head out for all the festivities. Otherwise, gonna stay in the neighborhood. (which I'm sure will be plenty crazy!)
That's funny. You have to live on this side of the river to realize how ridiculous that sounds. A word of advice to anyone looking for some action during Superbowl week. You're more likely to play tennis with Lee in Flint than pickup a lady here.
Actually it is legal as long as its done in privacy. Streetwalking is illegal but escourt services are legal over there. Not that I have ever used this - I swear I have not. Just read about it. Don't do it. Too many things out there and I can almost guarantee the lady will have some disease you really do not want to risk getting. I am really curious to see how this goes over. Ton of people in the area and I would imagine there will be a lot of spill over to the surrounding areas.
Thanks for that. Is bowling still king there? You can't hail a cab? That's punk. But here it is frowned on to. We can't block traffic, so we need to pull into a driveway. And it's safer for the cabbie. But believe me, if it is slow the hunt is on.
Bowling? No I would say Golf is and we also have our own Casino's to take your money. I don't know how the area will pull it off as public transportaton is not very plentifull. We all have cars and drive everywhere here. Those who cannot afford a car take busses. But thats not setup to handle too much demand. I would imagine Taxi Cab co's will be working overtime to fill the need. Its going to overwelm the area and there still are Katrina Victims staying in many of the prime locations. I can see this blowing up with all the demand but I hope I am wrong and all goes well. Be prepared for some frusteration trying to get around.
