    Thanks, Darth

I understand now (I think) , anyway I'll find some guy somewhere before the season starts. Or I can move my bench player, Kornwalll, into that spot. Nothing like having a rookie defenseman!

    I found my problem.

You have to remove a player first before you can add a new one.

Once I placed the injured guy on the IR, it opened up a spot. Then, when I added the new guy, he showed up as on waivers with a note on my team site. Cool.

    Maybe I'll get him.:stirthepot:

Kronwall's not exactly a rookie Woody. The Wings are expecting BIG things out of him this season. It is actually his 3rd season. He is a top 4 D-man. He won the AHL's best defenseman during the lock-out. He was named MVP of the World Championships in 2005, when Sweden won the Gold. And also was a member of the Gold winning Swedish Olypmic team.

He's a punishing open ice hitter, and likes to jump into the offensinve flow too. A lot of people in the Wings organization are comparing him to Konstantinov... deceptive power for his size, and a knack for scoring. Plus Kronwall's got some really good speed.

Lubomir Konstantinov. That would be an awesome name.

I know Kronwall is supposed to be good. That's why I took him. :)

Now all he has to do is produce!!

I hope he is the next Red Kelly!!

What is the "FW" stat? I figured out the others, I believe. LOL.

Hey Bezeach, what's it gonna take to pry Andrei Markov away from you?

And if you tell me Jagr or Hossa or someone like that, you're officially off my Christmas list.

Keep in mind that you picked him in the 8th round, one spot ahead of where I was about to take him! :frusty:

One more thing I forgot to mention to you guys:

Let's say your goalie plays in a game, and gives up 4 goals in the 1st period. Then he gets pulled.

Like it or not, that means that for that game your goalie has a 12.00 Goals Against Average (GGA).

Get it? If he played a full game, in the same manner he was playing in the minutes he actually did play, how would it have come ended up? Hence, GGA, goals per game average.

Now, as far as I know, even playing one period does count toward your 3 games required by your goalie.

    Sucks huh?

He has no clue what he's doing. The comp picked good guys or he had a lucky day.

But if you want a goaltender...

You can have Kiprusoff and I'll even throw in that guy on I.R. you wanted...

but you know who I want dontcha? :D

I'm not making any trades. That is my fantasy mantra. In 3 leagues thus far, I have screwed myself by making trades. If I had stayed pat and just played free agency, I would have won 2 of them.

Kipper is a great goalie, but my draft strategy was to focus on offence and pick average goalies, since they only count for 4 categories.

We'll see how my strategy plays out, but its too early to abandon it right now.

Yeah, under this system I should have gone for one stud goalie and one star player in the first two rounds rather than two stud goalies.

Oh well, that's 4 categories I should usually win. Now I just need to figure a way to get 3 of the 7 remaining ones on a consistent basis. I probably should wait to see what my relative strengths are before dealing.

Oh, about waivers, if you guys don't know.

The more often you pick guys up off of waivers...

If you try to sign a guy on waivers, and someone else does as well...

If you do it a lot, and they never do it, they'll get the guy.

The more often you do it counts against wether you can sign them or not.

If no one else wants the guy, you're fine, but if more than one person wants the same guy, the one with the least amount of waiver pick ups will get the player.

    I swear, I thought I would see this----> :flypig:

long before I saw Linwood leading ANY fantasy league let alone our fantasy HOCKEY league!!! :faint2:

I think there needs to be a full scale investigation.

Nice come back by Roscoe after a rocky start. You should have a MUCH easier time against me next week than you did against squirrel. But the Taters have some awesome goaltenders that are going to be tough for you to score on.
