In this fairly far-fetched scenario TWolvesBlog.com makes a pitch for the Wolves to go after Mr. Big Shot. Here is some talk about a sign and trade.

I hope people look at this before they write up the next Delfino, Murray, Sheed for Amare trade.

This is not a team looking to take on a bunch of %%%% just to ease their cap. No one is remotely worth CB. As for the high draft pick, we're not in a position as a team to take advantage of even a conley.

I agree. For Wolves it would be great. But why would Pistons want to go through with that scenario?

Mike James + Jaric + #7 sounds ok to me...

Mike James + Rip could start

and Jaric + Flip could come off the pine allowing Flip to guard the opponents PG and be a shooting guard.

Sorry, but this would mean throwing in the towel on this team. We all like Mike James, but he by no means is CB. He doesn't have nearly the impact on the game that Chauncey has. In the long run we might be better off with smaller contracts and a potential starter in the draft, but short term you could write Pistons off from the list of the contenders.

It's going to take a near perfect storm for us to remain legitimate title contenders no matter what.

Jaric, James, and Noah/etc (especially an explosive rookie) could make a huge difference.

I'd rather keep C$ if I had my way...

Joe just said that he doesn't expect any major changes. He also confirmed that signing CB is his #1 priority.

I don't want to sound like a downer, but Joe isn't going to say that signing CB is his second priority.

He's simply saying what he is expected to say.

Frankly, I wish he would say that his #1 concern is improving the team for next season, and let CB's agent read whatever he wants into that.

Give me Foye and #7, and it's a done deal.

I'm not sure if I'd pull the trigger on that, but I'd think about it. I really like Foye, and that #7 would be nice. It would still be a step backwards next year, but maybe a good move for the future. Conley, Foye, and Rip would be a solid three man rotation. James would be make that deal more attractive.

I like James too, but a # 7 is 3 years from playing for the Detroit "Regulars".
T-wolves better keep their nose out.
