Well Grizz are cruising. They handled Clipps on the road but losses to Minn and rival Nuggs keep them in 4 seed. Neck and neck with Nuggs.
Say what you will, but Prince has a precision, 17 jewel, set by the atomic clock in Colorado, stop watch in his head. He threw more successful inbounds passes in the last half second of the five count than any player in history. I bet the Pistons lose five points a game without that skill.
Tay has that rare skill of being able to hold the ball as long as possible. ...this is a skill that just can't be taught.
Well Grizz sit at the 5 seed right now. The Clips have fallen from the .700 club but as a division winner they get the 3 seed with a .662 record. Grizz have improved with Tay/Daye from .642 to .675 The Nuggs keep fending the Grizz off with a .688 record.
Say what you want about Hollinger, but he knows his stuff. I have no doubts that MEM will make big water moves if they don't win
Prince's +/- has been the best on MEM. He has 56 assists to 23 turnovers since he got there. Fitting in nicely with their identity and needs.
I don't think anyone doubted Tay would show well. And now we see he's made a good team better. What I was chasing is: why couldn't he make a bad team gooder. To my point our team and coaches suck.
He had is hands full in the second game trying to guard Mr. Bigshot and did a pretty good job holding Billups to 5 pts on 2-8 shooting after he got off in game one with 14 pts. Daye got a block in the first game and got wood burns sitting on the pine in the second game..
I really am enjoying watching the Grizzlies. Tony Allen is infectious. Conley/Allen/Prince/Zebo/Gasol is a pretty relentless defensive wall. Reminds me of the '04 Pistons in some ways.
