It is indeed a bittersweet moment. His play during the playoffs in his rookie year were one of my favorite times in Pistons history.

Thanks for all the great years Tay, especially for "the block".

I wish Tayshaun had played more like his highlight reels this year. Hopefully he gets rejuvenated in Memphis and brings them to another level.

Prince was an important memory. A cog to our glorious past.

Well......now Rodney Stuckey becomes the locker room leader. :cold:

I think that Will Blalock's fan base would disagree with this statement.

I wonder how long it will take for Andre Drummond to surpass Will Blalock in career 3-pointers made.

I like the Ben Wallace take down block on Shaq more, but Tay's was more timely.

The Joe D 3-point block and out of bounds save was close.

That Wallace block was a face-saving moment for the Pistons in toward the end of an ugly series.

Tayshaun's block on Reggie saved the game and kept the playoff dreams alive. I do think it may have been the most important single play in Pistons history.

I know The Mantis hasn't been popular around here for a while, but I thought he was actually playing quite well this season. I think he will help out in Memphis, and I expect the Grizzlies to be a team that no one really wants to deal with in the post-season.

So long, Tayshaun. See you in a few years when you come back as an assistant coach.

I agree... I think I wrote about this in the forum... I was 12-13 years old when that block happend.

In Argentina, by then, you couldn't watch NBA on the cable everyday like today, so, I have to be lucky enough that ESPN only broadcast 1 game every single 3 days or something like that... I remember I was in my grandmother's bedroom (may her rest in peace) because my grandfather was watching some italian show in the TV in the living room, so I wanted to watch the game and went to my grandmothers bedroom where the other tv was.

And I watched the game there and I remember I yelled a hugo "Noo!! when billups drops the ball and Miller was going for the easiest lay-up.. and suddenly...... a Blue and Red blur comes from the left of my tv screen and block that shot!!! I was like "Siii vamos carajooooo" who can translate to "Yess!! hell yeah!!"

Thank you for everything Mr. Prince!

    it only 2 minutes!

kinda reminds me of when we were living in the U.P. I would deliver the DetNews at 0500. After a while I started waking up just before the clock radio would come on. When the atmos. conditions were right it would bring in WXYZ. One morning with the radio quietly playing as my parents slept, some guy sang "cuse me while I kiss the sky".
    Definitely a "Hell Yeah"
