Here are the possibilities at PF and C (just looking at restricted and unrestricted FA's):
    Pachulia
    Glen Davis
    Powe
    Mikkie Moore
    Sean May
    Juwon Howard
    Aaron Gray
    Zydrunus
    Bird man
    Kwame
    Dyess
    Sheed
    Nesterovic
    Lamar Odom
    Blount
    Magloire
    Jermaine O'Neal
    Charlie V
    Elston
    Sheldon Williams
    Eddy Curry
    Al Harrington
    Chris Wilcox
    Robert Swift
    Gortat
    Foyle
    Ratliff
    Swift
    Shavlik Randolf
    Ike Diogu
    Calvin Booth
    Drew Gooden
    Milsap
    Boozer
    Okur

Also, there are a ton of cheap-but-dependable backup SF's hitting the market this summer.

This year vs. Championship year stats:

    ppg +3.9
    rpg +1
    apg +0.8
    spg -0.3
    bpg -0.2
    FT% +.012
    FG% -.017
    3pt% +.034

I guess he has improved. Not by much I might add.

The other day Kobe made a comment about Melo...........

“Oh, he’s nasty. You put him on that basketball court, he’s a different ‘Melo,” Bryant said. “That’s another reason why I like him a lot because he’ll bang. Some of the other players I’ve played against, you bang them, they shy away from that. He loves it. He loves the contact. He’s a throwback."

I just don't think Tay has that killer instinct. He's the type to shy away. LaBron comes at him and he'll do the olay and try to use his long arms to block the shot. The best defenders keep their body between the man and the basket. I just don't see him being able to "body" LaBron and because of that, I feel, we will continue to struggle everytime we face the Cavs with Tay at the 3.

These are the guys I think would help our team the most......
I specifically tried to target guys that I thought would provide the most bang for the buck. I'm guessing Okur would be the most expensive of the guys I highlighted.

In order of preference here's who I'd like to see on the squad next year.

    C - Okur
    Gortat

    PF - Milsap
Powe (if his knees check out ok)
    Davis
    Birdman (as a reserve)
    Wilcox (as a reserve)

I pretty much agree with this, especially Okur and Gortat, but I might look at Eddy Curry and even Mikki Moore also.

Except Tay already won a Championship in which he spent most of the time guarding Kobe.

Melo the non glue guy usually gets knocked out in the first round and is about to get knocked out by his biggest fan Kobe.

However, I realize that Melo is very good and getting better. Joe tried hard to get him and couldn't do it. Some players are unattainable at certain times... especially the young gold medal winners.

I'd really like to see them get Sheldon Williams and Juwaun Howard at PF and C.

Wow, between this great draft class and that list of free agents I feel foolish for ever doubting Joe.

Personally I was hoping that our next bigman unit would have last names that are things. This would leave me with the following choices:

    Blount
    Curry
Foyle (close enough to foil for me)
    Booth

and you could make an arguement for Boozer.

I guess thats a misspelling for blunt (like the cigar). I've heard his name pronounced like that many times when I've watched games. I guess I will have to make another exception.

    Dyess could be your substitute.

Howabout the all-noun team? Will cancel out the names that are just verbs with an er on the end (walker, skinner, miller, etc.).

    Kidd
    Rose
    Arenas
    Banks
    Barnes
    Barry
    Bass
    Bell x 2
    Booth
    Brand
    Brooks
    Brown x 4
    [STRIKE]Butler[/STRIKE]
    Cardinal
    Cook
    Curry
    [STRIKE]Fisher[/STRIKE]
    Gray
    Green(e) x 3
    Hart
    Head
    Hill x 2
    House
    [STRIKE]Hunter [/STRIKE]x 4
    Ivey
    Jack
    Kidd
    Knight
    Law
    Love
    Marks
    [STRIKE]Mason[/STRIKE]
    May
    Mayo
    Miles x 2
    [STRIKE]Miller [/STRIKE]x 3
    Moon
    Outlaw
    Redd
    Rose x 2
    Rush x 2
    Salmons
    Sun
    Wafer
    [STRIKE]Walker[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Weaver[/STRIKE]
    West
    White x 2
    Write x 5

Not sure which 5 I've pick from that group.

    How about the color team?

Redd, White, Gray, Green, and Brown.

I don't think so. Prince is what he is at this point in his career. He could never be a #1, #2 or probably even a #3 option on a great team. Of course plenty of people can be the go-to guy on a bad team... they're bad teams for a reason after all.
