Looking back at this thread... The prediction was: Cavs Celtics Magic blank (turned out to be Atlanta) Lakers Spurs [STRIKE]Nuggets[/STRIKE] beat by Utah blank (turned out to be the Suns) Pretty predictable league when we can call 5 out of the top 6 teams at the start of the year.
- Seal licks are healthy and when they turn the D on they're as effective as Bad Boyz or Going to Work. - Damnit Lakers Celtics, Laker Celtic damnit.
Agree~~ I am with the Magic this year too. No way I want to see the Celtics or the Lakers playing the for title, let alone one of them winning it. In fact, how about a Magic - Suns finals just to upset Mr Stern!!
Now that the Spurs have gone-fishing for the Summer, I'm backin' Los Suns. (...yes, I realize that Orlando, The Lebrons, The Lakers and Boston are the only teams that will be allowed to win.)
I'll still go with the Celtics. :winner_first_h4h: :winner_first_h4h: :winner_first_h4h: :winner_first_h4h: :winner_first_h4h: :winner_first_h4h: :winner_first_h4h:
That would be as decent an end as possible to this miserable season. It would also be a fun series to watch. I really don't think the Suns will be able to handle the Lakers' size.
The Celtics didn't have the real KG this year. But he's on the rise. With him healthy, I think they are the top team still. Will be interesting to see if Sheed is still the Dwight stopper. If so, should be a Celtics win in the series.
Celtics went 27-27 the last 54 games of the season. They were resting KG, and he listened to the doctors and relaxed. He took it easy cause he (and I) knew they'd be ready for the playoffs. Plus they got SHEEEEEEEEEDDD !!!
Sadly, the NBA Champions will be The L.A. Fakers.. :( I prefer Boston, Orlando or Phoenix instead, but L.A. will beat the Suns 4-1.. And Don't know how well Boston will keep defending on Dwight Howard..
Especially if they win game one of the finals......they won game one of the WCF last night so their Suns series is already over (Phil 45-0 win his teams win game one)
Gotta still choose the Celtics. Classic Piston like defense will expose the Lakers. Celtics in 6 (or maybe 7)
Percentages still goes with who wins game one... Phil's Bulls and Lakers teams are 10-2 in the finals.....the won game 1 in the 10 wins and loss game one to the two losses to the Pistons in 04 and Celtics in 05. Anybody hear Derek Fishers post game comments last night where he says that he is still bitter over the Pistons loss more so than the celtics 2 years ago and still gets mad whem he hears the saying "Deeetroit basketball"
rooting for the celtics I guess, havn't looked at the schedule yet.... that will really decide it I think, if they have a couple 2 day off breaks it really will favor Boston. Having almost a week off to rest for game one is going to be huge I think for them. On the other side, I am happy to see Kobe play well, and listening to the James fans have to admit maybe Kobe is still the better player is nice.
