    I think Dice deserves it.

The man gave everything night in and night out, even last season when things went south.
He was huge in the playoffs. Remember the 2008 playoffs, when he broke his nose, then came back and played like a warrior? That was a huge performance

Came here a year late though, as he didn't get a ring he deserved. I hope he gets it with the Spurs next year.

Sorry to see you go man, sorry that the team failed you for all the five years you've been a Piston. Good luck with the new team.

Leave it to the accounting folk... Of course, I am reading it as McDyess Depreciation Thread. WTF???

Anyway, I am glad Pistons got him. He was the heart and soul of the team, especially after Chauncey was traded. Arnie also helped resurrecting Dyess' career. Dyess fought to the very bitter end.

    Now, good luck with Spurs.

It's too bad that Flip (and then Curry) insisted on using you in a lineup that paired two Centers together. Playing along side a PF (Amir, Max) most certainly would have lead to you getting that elusive ring.

I'm gonna miss browsing around in the "rotations" thread and reading the last sentence of each and every lineup that lee devises: "...Dyess, 12th man as needed."

SO long Dice, out of all the Pistons players that have left or were traded over the past few years, Dyess is the one that I really, really, really hate to see go.

San Antonio has become my second favorite team tied with Houston.

So Long Dyess, go get that ring.

Wish we had 10 guys with as much heart & dedication. I hope he gets a standing ovation from The Palace crowd on his next trip to the D.

    Get that ring! :thumb:

Much deserved. I loved Dyess for his time here and he was the only Piston from this era where his effort, desire and heart could never be called into question. Now he's going to play for the team that denied him his ring in 2005... Lets hope he is on the winning side this time.

Good luck Dyess. I'll always love ya. :yo:

Thanks Dyess, I appreciate your jump shots that never drew fouls and your slow defensive rotations.

I'll never forget Dice's Game 4 against Boston in 2008. He seemed to be the only Piston that gave a darn. It's too bad that his loyalty in returning to the Pistons last year cost him so much money and a better chance to win his ring with Denver. Could he have made the difference in the WCF?

Rebounding machine during most of last season...Guy played his heart out and had a nice mid-range jump shot...

On another note I would agree with Ernie that he was a tad bit slow on defensive rotations..I'm not complaining at least we had a big man who tried on the defensive end...

Thanks for playing like you care Dyess!

The guy was heart and dedication. Hope that he gets that ring he has been chasing for awhile now. Sorry it wasn't with the Pistons though. Good luck Miggity Mac!

Btw, Mason's "Mcgitty MacDyess" was my favorite of his player introductions. I'll miss it, but I look forward to hearing it again in his return to the Palace next year. :)
