Oh no Joe.
There's goes my plan to get Melo!
Why Joe D? Why? :'(
Who needs Melo when we have Middleton. Oh, wait...
No trust in Knight, I guess. Does that mean that Siva makes the team?
It seems like the FA:s Joe end up signing never have any other bidders. I would rather have seen Joe give Stuckey a 24M/3y extension.
Hey if we all thought Billups would have a positive effect on Knight, why would he not have a positive effect on Jennings?? I am all for this deal. A bit of moulding from Mo Cheeks and CB and who knows we may have ourselves a very good starting PG. Welcome to the D Mr Jennings.
This sucks. Oh well.
This is interesting although I don't know what to make out of it. I think the $$ is good. Jennings is an upgrade. Sent from my iPhone using the keyboard.
He's waaaaaay better than Knight, but this is a tough pill to swallow.
This is an EXCELLENT point!
It just feels awkward to us because there is a clear slot for him to play and we don't need to divide his PT by 3 to picture him on the court. Sent from my iPhone using the keyboard.
Now that I had some time to ponder about it, here's what I think. Worst case scenario this is a lateral move. The contract is very manageable and Jennings is still only 23. Another thing to consider regarding his chucking, he was either #1 or #2 scoring option on the Bucks and had to carry that scoring load. He won't need to carry the team, so lets see what that type of an environment can do for him as he will have at least 2 other solid scoring options (Monroe and Smith) and possibly Chauncey. Can't discount having Chauncey on the team as well, his influence has to rub off to some extent. The only down side I can see at least at this point, is that Knight is bigger (6'3" 189 lbs vs 6'1" 170 lbs) which may be detrimental to the defensive play. Although, having Smith and Drummond and hopefully improving defense of Monroe should negate some if not most of that.
You know what is funny about this trade? Milwaukee's backcourt: SG - Mayo, Delfino PG - Knight, Neal, Ridnour, Smith They are probably not going to be very good as a team.
May you fall head first into a vat of mushroom ice cream......
Well at least we will be able to see what a Knight / Mayo back court would have looked like here ;)
nobody wants to be saddled aided by the addition of Stuckey and BoT.
Looks like we finally have a backup for Will Bynum. If this goes through, we also will have Siva on the roster since we're losing 3 guys and getting back 1 (or 2 if someone else is included?).
