Kinda interesting, don't you think? I seem to remember that Frank was blabbering away about the team and goals etc when he was first hired. Cheeks seems to be quiet. I hope that's a good sign.

Guys, when have you ever known the Pistons to not have a new coach?

Interesting to read threads like this.

Hindsight being 20/20 - Knight, Middleton & TRG for Jennings seems to be climbing up the list of Joe's worst GM blunders.

We traded three decent catapults for a mediocre trebuchet. What we really needed was a howitzer.

Knight may have arrived. I'm guessing that it is partially through hard work and partially because he has a great PG as a coach.

Both Brandons are actually having career best years so far in the young season and have stood out as the best players on MIL and DET.

So far this year, per 100 possession where applicable (BK vs BJ):
    Points: 28.9/ 29.7
    Assists: 10.1/ 11.0
    Rebounds: 9.5/ 5.3
    TS%: .575/ .578
    PER: 20.6/ 23.5
    VORP: 4.1/ 3.4
    WS/48: .169/ .206

Both are shooting over 40% from 3-point land.
Both are shooting over 80% from the FT line

BK arguably sets himself apart with his stellar rebounding (incredibly, he leads the Bucks in defensive rebounds and is 2nd in total boards) and defense, where he is 13th in the NBA in defensive win shares.

The only real negative is that his turnovers are still very high while Jennings is posting a 3:1 TO ratio so far. About 40% of BK's turnovers are ball handling related and 60% passing related. Jennings is 33%/67% for example with lower turnover %age overall.

Coincidentally, he's rebounding like Jason Kidd (BK at 6.6/36 vs Kidd's career 6.3/36).

The Bucks recently decided not to extend Knight's contract early, so they took on the risk that he might flourish during the course of the year and he took on the risk that he might get injured or fail to prove himself. So far, he has increased his stock with some heroics on top of it that will stick in people's minds.

Hopefully our Brandon can continue to play at this level and that it also has something to do with our coach (as opposed to small sample size). He's WAY out of the ranges that he has set for his career so far with a TS% about .080 higher (.578 vs .497) and an assist rate of 39.4% vs 29.6% (that 9.8 point rise means a 33% increase).

Is Jennings being serious? If so, what a cuckoo bird.

I imagine he is. In his defense, he has played more games against Paul Pierce than he has against Dr. J.

Ha, yeah. I got a twitter account pretty much just to follow Pistons and some other NBA players. Jennings definitely likes to post frequently and just say whatever comes to mind.

BJ has consistently been making progress towards a comeback. As I understand it, they haven't fully tested his ability to turn and cut. To really put that ankle through a tough workout.

I am excited. The only concerning issues I have with BJ coming back is which BJ comes back, and what does that mean for team chemistry? Can he actually be effective off the bench? Can he play with RJ in a 2 guard backcourt?

The article today says he has done everything now except 5-on-5 full court scrimmaging. Jennings doesn't have to be spectacular when he comes back. Can he run the offense as smoothly as Old Man Blake? That's no easy task.

A lot of BJs game is dependent on being able to play at a high speed very athletically.

He needs to be in great shape when he comes back. He knows this. If he comes back prematurely he risks ending his career.

We are 3-0 right now, so there is no rush. After Indiana, we go on a 6-game road trip over 10 days. Not much time for Jennings to get acclimated with the team with all of that travel. I think we will see him sometime in November if he continues to progress.

I want the player to want to be back as fast as possible, its on the staff to tap the breaks as needed... Unlike the Rose situation in Chicago where he's got his hand on the parking brake all the time.... worried about his nose and what he'd look like at his son's graduation. He seems to always take longer then expected to come back.
