Pistons are giving away "SURVIVOR' T-shirts to all of their season ticket holders...at the last game.
With another win, that knocks out 19 people who thought the Pistons would go 1-7 in their final 8 games: 16 Mile, basketbills, coynejeremy, far north, Gelo, KP, kpaav, Laimbrane, max, Mogilny, Mossberg, pass99, raxrets, Stereodave, Stun, sugnuf, V_T, Walter, yes-sir
We have 3 losable games left vs Miami, Charlotte, and Toronto, and a probable win against Minny. My guess is we finish 26-56 Looking at the teams who we are in contention for 3rd and 4th worst record: Philly is hot on a 5 game losing streak, maybe Detroit should take notes. They will likely lose out with games against Milwaukee, Memphis, Miami, and Orlando. 26-56. Washington will probably lose out, with there only possible wins against the Knickerbockers and maybe the Pacers . . . unless they pull a 'Pistons' and beat Atlanta. I'd guess they win at least one. Go 25-57. Sacramento could possibly beat the Clippers who are also on a 5 game losing streak. Even if they do it wont matter because Dallas, Houston, and the Lakers will likely have their ways with the Queens, erm . . . Kings. Probably either 24-58 or 25-57. Golden State is sorta the same story as Sacramento. Play the Clippers then its basically face beat down after beat down. 24-58 or 25-57 Basically it looks like we are gonna be tied for 5th. Hopefully we get some lottery magic like the Bulls did a couple years ago....
The impact of these two wins will be discussed all summer after the pick is made. Unless we are lucky I see no Cousins or Favors, let alone Wall or Turner
Sacramento won last night ( Finally!! ) but now we the Sixers are trying to tank down to our pick ( only 1 game behind ).
36 of 47 people are NOW knocked out for predicting too many losses. Pistons just tryin to get close to that 7-1 that Nemo prredicted.
The season is going to end with the longest winning streak of the season! Detroiiiittttttt Basketballllll, lol Cole Aldrich is not our guy. He's like a Eric Montross v2.0. For next season to open up our offense we need a talented post-up player desperately.
Yea, with that 3rd win, the folks that predicted 2-6 are all eliminated: Darth Tater, DirtyMoney, G-man, GIE, HardyHar, jzchen, LA Dre, Ozarkruffrider, round, TaShawn, TheeTFD, Whitepine, Woody
I cannot win a thing this year. finished next to last in the March Madness, last in the second chance pickem, third in the advance league fantasy BB and now I am missing out on an almost certain prediction here. Is it to early to predict the Tigers will win 8 of their first 10??
That would be the ultimate proof that none of us on the forum know what the heck we are talking about....
It is wishful thinking IMO that we're going to get some miracle draft pick and Dumars is not going to blow it. I am enjoying the wins and competition down the stretch. The team looks better without Stuckey and Rip. I'm not sure what the message is, but Joe needs to see what he has, so he can decide what to do with guys whose deals are coming up, and how he will spend the MLE, AND which guys can be traded because they don't really add a lot to the bottom line. There are no guarantees there will be a good pick, Joe will make the right pick, or that we will be better next year. I mean, look at the Clippers. I'd argue they draft about as good as Joe. Anyway, GO PISTONS!
Toronto has been losing and last game is with the Wolves. NYPistonfan's prediction of 4-4 is looking good now.
If she wins then we should give her an all expense trip to ...New York City...to see the Pistons play the Knicks next season....
. clearly an overreaction. Clippers has had TONS of Top 10 picks, Dumars - only one. Let Joe draft from top 10 5 years in a row, then we actually can compare...
Joe has been drafting exceptionally well the past few years. Drafting is the one thing that he has gotten pretty good at. Darko was 7 years ago - hard to believe its been that long.
Really a better lottery chance sets the team up better than a winning stretch during the last few weeks of the season. It doesn't translate to the next season and it's too late to draw fans back. Then again, it's nice seeing the team win. Certainly a weird position to be in. Still in my mind, the next big game is the Draft Lottery.
Pistons are 3-4 in their last 7. It looks at least one person will have a perfect prediction and be entered in the raffle for an all-expense paid trip to beautiful Windsor.
