Nice game and nice result tonight. Paul Pierce showed why he is called The Truth and KG had a nice evening. Alot of highlight plays from [strike]both teams[/strike] the Celtics and Kobe.
I was thinking while I was watching the second half that everyone was going on and on about Kobe... Yeah, he scored 38, but the player he's always chasing to be the best is Jordan, and Jordan averaged 33 in the playoffs over his whole career. He averaged 37 in 1989. Anyway, fun game. The Celtics did what they had to do. One more in LA won't be easy. My two favorite themes of the series - watching Rondo just do what he needs to do, and watching RonRon self-destruct. I predict somewhere early in the 2nd of game six will be his breaking point. Jack better watch out, the man's got history.
Maybe Sheed could play both ways. The Pistons have already proven themselves unable to beat Big Baby all by himself.
25 point Laker lead at the end of three.....Barring a major collapse by LA, Stern will get his wish and there will be a game 7. I am stuck in a condo here in Orlando with my wife and inlaws...my mother in law the is the ultimate laker fan and my wife is not far behind her so I am suffering through laker overkill. Come on Boston ...I can't sit through this on Thursday....
LA has home court for game 7 Perkins is injured LA has the momentum Zen Master's 47-0 thing Not looking good for the Celts. I'll be looking forward to watching it though. Shannon Brown really gets up, doesn't he?
The outcome of this series reminds me of what happen in game 7 of the 1988 finals that I attended at the Fabulous Forum......Pistons win game 1 in LA much to the shock of the Laker fan faithful...Lakers win game 2.....Pistons come back to LA up 3-2....Lakers steal game 6....and take game 7 just because.....Pat Riley said they would repeat...
Agree that the Lakers are getting all the calls in crunch time and C's can't get to the line, while the Lakers are living at the FT line..If the Lakers had hit a few more, then they could be winning going away.
Good game. Hard to get into a series when you really do not care who wins but one cannot ask for a closer game 7. They let them play. I thought the Lakers were smarter in what they could and could not get away with. I get the feeling that this is the last time we will see the Celts at this level with that core.
That's possible, I didn't see the first half, but the second half was disgusting. The title was pretty much handed to the Lakers.
