Yes. It's a slippery slope. We say we want a better org, but don't realize that noone will ever be up to fulfilling our expectations. No matter what, we find reasons to can whoever is currently running the show, because we know better.
Have you guys ever heard of the Clippers? Or the Bruins? I can't stand to hear about Bill D being cheap when he is by all accounts, a stand-up generous guy who is also a good businessman.

I think you're probably right. I cannot think of an instance, offhand, when he was actually cheap regarding a player. I think he just isn't into throwing away his money and makes sound business decisions. That's a good thing. If he was that cheap, why would he keep firing coaches before their contracts expired?

This is a pretty valid though since he cut J-Max's min for Theo, and stopped playing the other young guys the 1st chance he got. In a way Billup's injury forced him to rely on Stuckey.

If this article is to be believed, we're in for MORE of the frustrating, painful "same old" on the coaching front. :gun1::yellowprison::shout::frusty::loser: :granade:

Expect a busy summer for Pistons

I know it's McCosky, but IF this comes to fruition, we're in for a lot more :fishing: and a lot more :yellowprison:

That's certainly not encouraging, but we'll see.

    Interesting stuff on Sheed.

A couple of things in there...sometimes I have to wonder if McCoskey reads this forum. It really seems like he does.

Thanks for the early ready Alexa, that first paragraph was the worst thing I have read all day. Flip back:gettinghanged::swear2:

However the end of the article where Mcoskey suggests sending Sheed to Charlotte for Jrich and Okafor.....hell to the yeah..

If this is true, i don't think i can watch this team next season.

The most deflating news ever. Seriously.

I don't mind Flip coming back at all. I'd go for keeping Rasheed as well. Because unless Dumars can work some serious magic, we going rebuild and take a step back. Flips a perfectly fine coach for a team merely looking to win some games, get to the playoffs.

If Flip comes back, he'll need to be much less indecisive. He'll have to go grow some balls, and he'll have to not be so damn inconsistent. That last point is my biggest gripe about him; he demands consistency, but he's very inconsistent himself. And he's all too quick to cut off a young guy's playing time in favor of an underperforming/mediocre vet. There is simply no consistent continuity in his rotations. He seemingly changes his rotations on a whim. Not the best environment for developing confidence and consistency as a young player/team.

I agree 100%. The play calling in Game 1 against Boston in this year's ECF was odd, to say the least. If I recall, we did the opposite of what Atlanta and Cleveland did in defending Boston's big 3, and we end up losing by 9 points. That set the tone for the entire Series, since we could never be one game up on the Celtics, especially after not showing up for Game 3, at home no less!!

Flip certainly isn't great at motivating the players either. All 3 seasons he's been the head Coach, only once have they rallied from a Elimination Game Deficit, and that was the Cleveland series in 2006, his first year here. Ever since then, when we're on the ropes, we fall apart like wet tissue paper the very next game EACH AND EVERY TIME.

That part really caught my attention too...it makes perfect sense. Those two probably won't get along with LB, whereas Sheed seemed to get along fine with LB...cept for his Horry boner of course.

So far, an overwhelming 35-2 that he should go. Just two??

I am pretty sure there were at least a couple more Flip supporters out there that have not voted...

i think flip did his best job this year, made the most adjustments (even if he was forced to by joe), and did everything right in the regular season. he wasn't even that bad in the playoffs.

but he clearly needs to go. he's not good enough to get us to the finals, and we've had 3 chances to do it in a relatively weak conference. time to peace out.

I wonder if they haven't considered Laimbeer in the past because they knew the mix with Sheed would be terrible. Maybe now they will trade Sheed and look at Lambs...Oh yeah, Flip is still haunting the Palace.

It wasn't his fault that his players got to the rack slower in games than Roscoe does on his dates.:pound:
