there isn't a guy out there whose loyalty can't be bought. or thats at least what you should tell yourself if you're a GM. Brand's was, and Boozer's was. And that's just the B's.
Buying loyalty isn't something we can do. All those teams with big stars (Bron, Wade, Bosh, Melo) all have Bird rights so they can not only go over the cap but offer MORE money then we can. Which makes Detroits job more difficult since teams with larger markets are positioning themselves to offer the same amount of money we can. Edit- Forgot to mention that teams with Bird rights can not only offer more money but an extra year that we couldn't either.
That's because they fell into the "over-rated hypeness" and they thought he could lead their bigs. They must've been high as the clouds along with the sky.
