Good news then. Hopefully he gets more burn at the end of games too, though he has been getting some lately, I'd like to see him play in Max's place (as in, not pull him at the 5 minute mark in favor of Maxi). Utah has that really talented, big front line that will thoroughly expose both Max and Monroe - hopefully Frank pulls his head out his behind long enough to pull at least Max if their starting bigs go off at the start of the game (remembers Jefferson draining 3s in the 4th).

Didn't we used to have a glossary for that type of stuff? We need a pollthread on this.

Beating the Drum - Rotating Rotations - Rotoworld.com

Just so we’re all on the same page, let’s establish how impressive 19-year-old rookie Andre Drummond has been this season. His per-36 minute numbers are: 13.0 points, 13.3 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 1.5 steals. He’s also shooting 59.7 percent from the field.

So of course, the obvious question is when will Drummond start playing 36 minutes? Well, not this year. But I’d consider him a must-start in any format at a mere 26 nightly or more minutes more. Here are his season averages, divided into thirds:

    First 12 games: 14.9
    Next 13 games: 20.0
    Last 13 games: 23.1

It will take quite an adjustment from Lawrence Saunders for Drummond's minutes to go up. I don't think he has it in him.

He sees the glass as half empty.

Not sure what you are talking about. Drummond's minutes have been ramping up all season. Did you see the post above yours?

You hit on it back in the I don't see the rush to start Drummond phase/discussion here that without starting his minutes can't go up because of the long stretches Flip likes to play guys. That's what Frank doesn't have in him to change.

I bet Drummond would average more MPG if he played for OKC or the Heat.

Dude, seriously, Drummond's minutes are a result of Greg Monroe's inability to play PF. Greg cannot guard the pick and roll, he can't rotate far from the paint on defense and he's a lesser threat from 17 feet than Jason Maxiel. I believe Little Larry trusts Drummond to anchor the center position, but I honestly don't believe that they trust Monroe at the PF spot. IF Greg Monroe could play PF, Drum would be getting about 28-30 mpg.

I believe this is exactly the problem, and its a problem that wont fix itself. I am growing concerned that Moose just isnt gonna be able to hit the 15-17 footer with any regularity and I am really starting to hope he gets traded for a K love type or even D Cous because we will need another big that can hit the jumper.

If Drummond started, our 2nd unit would totally suck because of the safety net Dre provides to the 2nd unit's inept defense.

You are correct, though. It is almost impossible to average more than 25 minutes per game if you aren't starting.

I don't see Drummond starting until a personnel move or two occur. That might not happen until the summer.

Questions I have: Can Moose play PF? Will Drummond develop into a real low post threat that we can dump the ball into? Drum has a nice touch, quick feet and great hands......if he can coordinate all of that and turn into a go-to post player, this team may very well be set.

We're probably one starter and one bench player away from being a good team.
