i keep hearing this rumor, but ive seen it nowhere on the internet or any other media, but several people have said this to me over the last 3 or 4 days.

they say a deal is all but done to send rip and sheed to utah, for boozer and brewer and the number 9 pic(not sure if thats the number). sounds to me like utahs g.m. would have to be sniffing glue for this to be true, but you never know.

How about we wait until Feb and trade him to Minny for Al Jefferson and a pick. Why would Minny do this? It would put them in GREAT position for the 2010 free agent party.

We'd get a low post threat and things get really interesting. So, with two moves we'd have:

Billups to Denver for Camby and Atkins
Sheed to Minny for Jefferson and pick

Stucky, Rip, Prince, Jeferson and Camby
Atkins, Aaron, Walter, Max/Johnson and Dice/Ratliff (resign)

Utah needs to shake it up too. They could conceivably do a deal like that. Rip would be a fixture for a while and Sheed would have a 1 year tryout.

Sheed in Utah? LOL... That is not happening. He probably would refuse to report and retire first.

He's a family man. He'd love it there.

Sheed related, not sure where to put it, but i was cleaning out stuff i've had in links, and folder/favorites from forever ago, and i came across this article.

It's funny how things turn out sometimes even with the best of intentions . . .

I think we have fallen into the same trap that Portland fell into. When we got Sheed in the trade we were all talking about how he would thrive here because he would not have to be the man on this team. He would just be a role player and fill in the gaps.

The longer he has stayed and with the flashes he has shown; we are asking him to be a star. Is it his fault that he has never been able to fill that role or our fault we are asking him to?

It's his fault because his effort has been consistently inconsistent.:stirthepot:

Our fault DD, we didn't insist on him carrying the team.
Kind of like telling a rookie QB he doesn't need to win right away.

I've got this idea from N4S.com, but is Joe Dumars possibly pulling off a reverse Kobe?
