Stuckey had a GREAT game for the Pistons against Memphis. 19 points in 23 minutes........I don't expect him to do that every night, but I think he can be as productive for us as Jarret Jack was for the Warriors. I know we can't stand the guy, but I think that's because he failed to be what we needed him to be, Chauncey's heir, he was supposed to transition team but he's just not a starter in this league. As a 3rd guard he may find his niche......if he does, should Joe extend him? If Stuckey has a successful season as an OFF THE BENCH COMBO GUARD, I can see Joe giving him a 3yr/$15-$18M deal.

If Joe resigns Rodney Stuckey, I might retire.

I can't stand him, but the guy isn't completely void of talent. The fact is.....on THIS team there is a legitimate role for him, and if he can fill it successfully.......

If Mo can utilize him as the third guard off the bench and he knows his role in limited minutes (ala "The Microwave") I might, just might come around to it if the price is right. I don;t mind him being a bull in a china shop, because that is when he is at his best, but I can only take it in limited doses.

The problem with Stuckey is the problem with Bynum. If you keep him around, a coach might get tempted to start him.

Yeah...at this point it's really hard to get excited about his first good game since the 40 point/Chicago one.

It would be nice to deal him now while his value is high after one decent game.

There is a small window of opportunity before Sunday's game.

Trade him to Chicago for Butler and a pick.

Hey those 7yr rookies take time to season before they become 10 year sophmores. After that the sky's the limit baby! Guys like Zeke, Magic, and Kidd are an aberration, who do they think they are to just step onto the court and be fully developed basketball players? The nerve!

I don't like him, but it is worth a look to see if he can flourish as one of 5 guys out there.

I think they're playing him to trade him and more than likely he'll be feuding with Coach Cheeks by December.

I don't really care if either Bynum and Stuckey gets playing time, as long as it's not together and they are both behind Kentavious on the depth chart. Oh, and they should NOT be starting either!

If you want a good laugh, type "Stuckey" into the PF.com search window (Select "thread titles only").
Just by reading the titles of the various threads about Rodney Stuckey, it becomes pretty clear that he shouldn't be a part of the Pistons' future.

Here is where this is heading:

    Jennings/ Billups/ Bynum
    Stuckey/ Pope/ Bynum
    Smith/ Singler/ Datome
    Monroe/ Smith
    Drummond/ Monroe

    DNPCD: Villanueva, Mitchell, Jerebko, Siva

That's actually not so bad. Bruiser starting lineup that could really make the game ugly in a good way.

Pope starting would be better IMO, but I just don't see Cheeks doing it. Stuckey is built to bang and can play some OK defense if he put his mind to it.

I'd prefer Billups to be the 5th guard that gets put into the game situationally, but that also won't happen. My vision would be that we'd keep him healthy and mildly involved all year to bridge between the coach and the players and to control the game pace when needed. Involving him in a major way is a mistake for a team that needs his presence more than his performance and a team that can only really win in the future.
