Interesting...I don't see Pat Riley taking over anytime soon. He can't fix the personnel problems that the team is going through...as a coach...

Unfortunately, it's far too early to bury these guys. I'm not going to celebrate their demise until later in the season.

Less than 1/5 of the season has transpired and they have 68 games to really get it together. Even with the way they are playing right now they would still make it to the playoffs at 8-6 and be extremely dangerous.

But don't listen to me, I thought Q would become the 2nd greatest coach in Piston history, that the Iverson deal was going to work out OK for the Pistons, and that firing Larry Brown was a good/necessary move.

On the other hand I predicted the Pistons would be sold quickly by Karen when Bill Davidson died, that the Pistons should draft Carmelo instead of Darko, and that the Pistons would use their draft pick on Jason Maxiel (Bill, I'm still checking my mailbox for the Darko wrist band you promised to the winner of that contest back in the Detroit News days..

So, uh, you know, it's a 50/50 thing here. :) But I still think Miami will win it all (or at least meet L.A. in the finals).

You still picked the correct points for both the Wolverines and Spartans this past weekend, so you have some type of soothsayer skills..

    Rooting for: Nawlens or OKC.
    Betting on: Boston or LA

...the Heat are weak where other teams are strong. (PG, C)

Haslem might be out for the year. I might have spoken way too soon about the Heat dominating. They've got a lot of crap on that team, including a lousy PG situation and terrible big men. (Bosh plays small). People are also starting to notice that LeBron and Wade's games don't compliment each other.

Okay, so in the frame of mind that Lebron and Wade have over lapping skill sets, can't exist together on the court, at what point does Riley try and trade Lebron, and what would he have to get, and did he think of this before the season? Could he get Chris Paul and David West? Could he get Yao's
    Expiring, Scola and Aaron Brooks?

I can't believe that those jackasses haven't tried to recruit Eric Dampier yet.

They brought him in preseason for a workout and decided they didn't want him...seems like they would have to want him now or maybe they are trying to find Glinny?

Rumors via ESPN say Dampier to Miami seems imminent. I think he was working out with the team today.

Wow - that would be something. How about D-Will and Jefferson or Millsap?

Ainge and Doc need to tell Shaq that from now on, he'll only be playing against Miami and that Eric Dampier is directly responsible for his recent divorce.

Prince & Stuckey for LeBron straight up. Salaries match. Miami gets a PG and guy that'll glue it all up.

So far everything is looking great, hopefully the Heat meltdown will continue. That would make me rethink my decision not to get League Pass.

NYP, I'm glad you're not taking your talents to South Beach.

No....but I do miss League Pass and watching the Pistons. South Beach is a nice place to visit for a couple of days but I couldn't live there.

I think they'd trade Wade first. This could be an instance where a team trades a dollar for 3 quarters and comes out on top.

They don't need to get rid of Wade, they just need less of him.

Just noticed that the Cavs are only 1 loss behind the Miami Thrice and they are clinging to the 8th seed (just ahead of the Pistons).

I can't believe that the Cavs MINUS Lebron are still better than the Pistons.

Would be really funny to see them meet up with Miami in the first round (maybe 2 seed vs 7 seed) and somehow upset them. That would have to be the most watched playoff series of all time if the upset seemed to be brewing.

The Pistons are tied with the Bosh-less T-Dot Raptors also at 6-10 and if it wasn't for the inspired play of Charles Villanueva they'd be looking up at Flip Saunders Wiz instead of having a 1/2 game lead on them. I don't hear anyone complaining about the Billups trade now!
