Well if it's anything like hockey, the team that gets the best "single" player wins.

I just don't see Curry staying in shape for very much longer. The dude is laboring out there.

With the lack of rebounding, shot-blocking, and passing, combined with the potential career-ending, uninsurable heart problem, I think Chicago was and continues to be right. I haven't run into too many people here that miss him.

Tyson Chandler, however... it looks like it would have been cheaper keeping him than getting Ben. And they wouldn't be searching for a big man now at the trade deadline.

Re: The New York ZEKEs...Achieve a minor goal !

WoW, they surpass last years win total of 23...Yes they surpassed the loafty goals set by the only BBall coach to win a NCAA championship and a NBA championship. Larry Brown coming off a NBA finals season with the Detroit Pistons took the NY Zekes to 23 wins in his first season with NY. This dream job, as Larry is from New York paid $Ten Million a season, could have made him the daring of The Big Apple. Yet even through it all Larry feed the NY media feeding frenzy with juicy details of the inner workings of the NY Zekes. So juicy he needed to be bought out by Mr. Dolan for $18 million. Not a bad 2 years haul for Larry as he had to bought out by the Pistons for $7 million. Base salary at Detroit was $5 million, total for both years $40 million.

You know, with the player production he got, Jesus H. Christ in his 1st season as an NBA coach may have been able to squeeze 25 wins out of last season.

If I was Zeke, I would have hired the messiah instead.

Yeah the messiah could at least be trusted to NOT pull the rug from under the GM, owner, fans and Madison Square garden.

Zeke wished Kidd would go away...

    This from the NY News...
However, the Knicks coach would have no complaints if the Nets trade Jason Kidd - preferably far, far away. "I haven't had a lot of success in beating him," Thomas said. "He always beat my teams when I was at Indiana, and he beats me now. So the less I have to play against him, the better."
    ---------
Come on Zeke you can figure this guy out.

Don't you mean, "with LB deliberately trying to tank the season so he could get Zeke fired, it's a miracle that the players were able to squeeze out 23 wins?"

Or how bout "With LB as coach, not even a team of DWade, Lebron, Carmello Anthony, AI and 8 other NBA allstars could win the gold medal"

You get what you pay for and $10M just don't buy that much. This is the NBA.

Dolan won't fire Zeke...report from Fox Sports
News: James Dolan told the Knicks that Isiah Thomas' job is safe, and that he's happy with the job he's doing this season, leading the team to a 22-29 record thus far.
Impact: Dolan told the Knicks players that Thomas didn't have "anything to worry about right now," a person in the room told The Newark Star-Ledger. To emphasize his point, Dolan reportedly playfully tapped Eddy Curry on the shoulder after making the statement, drawing laughs from everybody in the room. Last week, Curry said that if Thomas wasn't the coach of the Knicks, "I'd be trying to get out of here." (Mon. Feb 12, 2007)
    ----------------------
Knicks just can't put 2 or 3 good games together. They whack Orlando then get whacked by 76ers. Last nite they escape the Bucks with a 2 point win.

    Dirty Knickers

Moving up in the East. Can Zeke get em in the playoffs? They still have got to pass the Magic and Heat but they are coming on.

I sure hope he can. Not because I like the Knicks, but because I hate the Heat and want a lottery pick from the Magic.

Jamm, we agree for once. But as soon as the Knicks get good we need to slam them hard

    Why Zeke Will Be Back

The thing is, if Dolan fires Zeke and brings in a new GM and coach, the new guys are going to want to blow up the team and start over. How many years is that going to take?...another 3 years? Dolan doesn't have that kind of time.

The New York media (and probably Dolan's own father) are all over Dolan. He doesn't have another 3 years to bring this team around. Dolan and Zeke's fortunes (along with Marbury's and Curry's) are permanently linked. For better or worse, all these guys are stuck with each other. They have no way out but to start winning.

That's stiff medicine ! But with the East being so weak maybe they can skate. With nobody looking.
Looks like Raptors are the only ones with a clue over there.

    Crawford's ankle.
    Francis' knee.
    Lee's ankle.
    Marbury's "turf toe".
    Richardson's bruised shoulder.

Despite all of this, none of them have been in a wheel chair or cried recently. These guys are tough.

Crawfords production will be hard to replace. Normally I'd say it's ova, but the Knicks have bodies to throw at the problem. Zeke aint afraid to play anybody.
