Remember when General Manager Jack McCloskey offered the entire Piston roster to the Lakers for Magic Johnson?

If Johnson played today, and McCloskey were the General Manager of this team, I wonder if he would try it? I think I would do it. For sure if he could keep Monroe. ;)

I would add Jerebko to the asset list.

You know, there are some that think if you hire Bill Laimbeer as the head coach, you could win 50 games and head to the playoffs with this roster.

I'm not sure I fully understand his contract situation.

    Qualifying offer of $1.06M

Is he effectively a FA since he's worth more than that and the Pistons will clearly make the qualifying offer? What is our advantage to be able to retain him?

Another asset provided some clutch play in Canadas surprise win over the Dominican Republic in the FIBA Americas Championship - marquee free agent signing Chaz Villanueva scored 0 points but compensated this with 4 fouls and 4 TO.

Does he start for the Dominican team?

I saw he took a break from his grueling summer workouts and went for 5pts and 1 board earlier in the week.
