So the Celts can't beat ATL or Cle on the road this P/Os. But they can come into the Palace and take back HCA. I smell do-do.
----So where is the truth and the evidence?
I figured it would be in effort/non-effort -measured in fouls, and skill measured in assists.
Well they've played 8 road games and avg. about 25 fouls per.
With 20 assits. The most they got against Cle was 19 assists-road.
Det held them to 12 once.
-----At home they avg. 23 fouls and 23 assists. All this indicates is they pass a little better at home.

So I got nothing. Never mind :sssh:

    The smell won't go away.
OK, so far this P/O only Det. has scored more than 100 in Boston. Twice, a win and a loss. Boston gave up 100+ to Hawks in Atl.
The most Cle. scored is 85 in Boston but held them to 72 in once in Cle.
This tells me Cle. defense is on par with Bos. and Det. 1 and 2 in the regular season, respectivley. I don't think Bos. scored more than 95 against Cle.
Interesting Bos. scoring follows the opponents defensive intensity, until their HCA is comprimised by Det. Then they need to make up new effort rules and winning on the road. in Det.----But I saw that game, Det. couldn't throw it in the ocean. Det. deserved to lose.
Ok I still got nothing. But that Celt Boll do-do odor won't go away.

My feet smell like feet not doogee.
But think of the arrogance of Bos. We just need to finish at home. We can carry Atl and Cle for 7 games we're that good.

Re: The premise is, the Celts P/O road record is BS, and now I know why...

It's all about the free Throws
When Bos. wants to win they will take it to the hole and get more FTs.
That nites shooting % will effect the number some. And of course how tight the refs are calling the game [I have to mention that in light of how inconsistent the officiating is. And possibly biased, -see court accusations]
    -
these are Free Throw totals games 1 - 7:
vs Atl. 24, 26 wins, 25, 18 [didn't try] losses, 15 win, [blow out] 25 loss, 19 win [blow out]
[note Atl shot 40 in a win and 47 in game 6 loss [so you know they were trying]

vs Cle. 18, 38 [great effort] wins, 24, 26 losses [avgerage effort], 23 win, 13 loss, game 6 [did not even try], 34 win [they tried large effort]

vs Det. 21 win, 25 loss, 30 win at Det. they tried as they had lost HCA
39 loss game 4 [large effort but lost, we ruffled their feathers] 30 win @ Bos. [tried very hard] 27 win game 6 close- out.

vs LA. 35, 38 wins [great effort] 22 loss at LA. [didn't try, I heard they didn't even have a shoot around before game.
---So aside from when they lost HCA they see no need to for max effort and just take jumpers. I told you Bos. was B.S. !! :stirthepot: :cold:

They only needed 28 to do the Lakers at home game 4.

    From the conspiracy thread:
2002, Lakers-Kings, Game 6 ... LA needs a win to stay alive ... from an officiating standpoint, the most one-sided game of the past decade ... at least six dubious calls against the Kings in the fourth quarter alone ... LA averaged 22 free throws a game during the first five games of the series, then attempted 27 freebies in the fourth quarter alone of Game 6 ... rumors that David Stern wanted to pull a Vince McMahon and declare himself "The special guest referee" for this game prove unfounded.
