What is none of the above?
WNBA.com: Nolan moves Shock into playoff picture You have to wonder if they read this thread or if Laimbeer is coaching from one of the luxury boxes?? Maybe its because they play their games in a different city
Yea, it appears the demise of the Shock had been greatly exaggerated...
Quietly they have began to pull it together. This is one team where I buy that BS cliche, "In the playoffs anything can happen" usually that's a load of crap, but if this team gets healthy and on the same page, they can make it happen.
Hopefully things are starting to look bright from now on. Maybe the girls have finally understand Mahorn's coaching style. If this team manage to get into the playoffs now, they could be the most dangerous team that no team wants to face.
So is your girl Plennette really done for the season or have you or anyone heard that she may be ready comeback by the time the playoffs come around if they are able to survive make it to the post season??
They're 1.5 games behind 2nd spot with 7 games left. If they down San Antonio tomorrow, they'll be in good shape. These ladies are tough. I wouldn't be surprised if they play ECF. If Pierson comes back from injury, a repeat is not out of the question.
Pierson lately weren't wearing her sling in the past few games so maybe things are looking up. Gotta say she's my favorite Shock's player in or out of uniform.
Not sure, but Lord knows I miss my Sweet-P. Check my avatar! I swear if I run into her downtown I'm pulling out all of my Motor City Mack Skills, go for broke playa's, you miss 100% of the shots you don't take!!
If had been man enough to take some of those shots in college, I proabably would have been miseraby married to someone else and living in Motown. But alas I was to shy...waited awhile and took my Motor city Macking skills on the road to Los Angeles, took my best shot there and now I am happily married.:ballchain
The Shock are on ESPN2 today at 3pm if anyone is interested. They aren't on national TV every day.
Halftime: Shock 47 San Antonio 35 w/o katie Smith who is sitting this one out resting....
Maybe Mahorn should have brought in Katie in OT..a win would have put them in 4th place by themselves.....plus offense seem to go through a tired Tweety Nolan in the 4th period and OT. .Curious why Ford spent most of the OT on the bench too. Shock could have used her down the stretch to post up inside instead of all of the jumpers. NEVER leave Becky Hammond open when she is feeling it.
LMBO I must say this, on the West Coast, where people seem sucked up into the hollywood culture of fakeness, Good Ol' Smooth Authentic Detroit Mackin' is ALWAYS welcomed. Nothing like a smooth Detroit Playa-Gatored Up to drive the Cali women crazy! Glad to see you used your Mack'n skills for good and not evil - like Kwame did.
Leave KB's macking skills out of it.
The Shock is going to be without Katie Smith again. Tune in to watch the Shock get slaughter again. Edit: Katie Smith looks really hot in street cloths.
They held on and edged out a 101-99 victory, so there is hope yet..
Yeah, the Mercury played like the Shock did during the game with the Silverstar on Sunday. Malhorn does know how to adjust, adapt and know how to use Cheryl Ford after all.
Sweet double-double by Ford (22 and 11). Next is Indiana. That'll be the real test. The other 4 games remaining are all winnable for the Shock. They'll play Chicago twice which is half game behind us. Those two games will really determine if we make the playoffs or not. Damn those Chicago teams. Once again, Detroit's post season hopes go through Chicago. Washington's schedule is a bit tougher; they play both Indiana and Seattle. They also will play Atlanta. So one of the two teams above Shock has a guaranteed loss. Atlanta has 4 games left and they play Phoenix on the road. So, while falling off the playoff bracket is possible so is the chance of moving up. If they beat Indiana, I'll start believing.
Great analysis, saved me brain powers.
