Obvious foul. Griffin does that a lot though. He pushes and shoves people with his leading hand all the time. This one just was worse because he ended up smacking Gasol in the face.

How I wish Sheed was in his prime nowadays. Nobody else can expose him as good as Sheed would've.

TaShawn, thanks for sending me that picture of your latest dunk. I hope it's okay if I share.

And? Pau jumps into him. Its a shooting foul. The shot was altered by defensive contact.
You are never going to get offensive foul for a raised elbow mid jump. Allen Iverson could be yelling swearwords at Crawford, whilst barebacking his daughter, do the same thing, and the same call would be given.

I have seen Blake play in nearly 50 of their 55 games this year and probably 75 of them last year....In them he probably has used that climb over the back move in every third game...never gets called for a offense foul and probably never will at this stage. Once a ref learns your move, you will get that call just like every other player who is "designated" superstar or budding superstar by the league. He like someone said gets killed sacrificing himself in the paint every game and gets get knocked around by the opposing bigs who don't want to be posterized. Agree that he has not learned to play defense yet and has not mastered the FT line. But he has added the out side jumper to his repertoire and it will get better. I went to five games last year and so far two this season and the local crowd loves him.....and the Clippers Staples Center home attendance average is about 250 higher than the Lakers and the Clippers are third in the league in road attendance behind the Heat and Lakers.......So somebody out there in USA likes him and CP3 enough to flock to games to see this non- defensive-badly-coached-exciting-team-of-the-future-if-Blake-and-CP3-decide-to-stay..:ner-ner:

Of course...you have your team that you have supported since the 70's (Pistons) and then the local team (Clippers) that you want to put the Lakers in their place....unfortunately they probably won't do it this season with no Billups and no defense...

The off-arm hold-down/push-off/fend-off is nothing new. Shaq and Duncan have been using it for years with great success. Better get used to it.

Griffin should have been called for an offensive foul, and Gasol should shave off his ratty beard, but unfortunately both of these things ever happening is about as likely as each other.

but Griffin's "I jump into you with the off-arm hold-down/push-off/fend-off" thing is a new dimension. I doubt Shaq and Dunscan have half his leap

Here is one I remember vividly. Couldn't find better quality vid though.

I picked out 3 of these Shaq dunks using the arm in some form.
