Mitchell is a top five player and perhaps the finest athlete in the draft. He will definitely challenge Drummond and he will seriously need mature guidance along the way. His attitude has changed. By mature guidance, I don't mean someone like Sheed. Unbelievable, that JD would even consider it. Is Lanier still around? There is always BenW.

Hakeem could work with both Mitchell and Drummond this summer if Lanier is not around.. Laimbeer is out of the picture.

Andre Drummond plans to work with Hakeem Olajuwon

Lanier did work for Nelly a couple years with Golden State. He spent quite a few years with the NBA league office. He wrote a few children's books. Not sure what he is doing now.

Actually I would be good with Sheed, I think he would strike a balance between fun and getting serious when needed. Sheed's problem was not wanting to be the alpha dog, as an assistant coach he's just one of the guys.... his sweet spot IMO.

Just have to keep a muzzle on him during games... LOL for sure a 2nd row coach, and maybe a stay in the locker room coach :P

Hopefully there will be a culture where guys can really come together and support each other. Drummond, Mitchell both will thrive in a positive peer group. English and Knight (if he's going to come in with the right frame of mind) can do that. JJ will challenge you to come to work in practice.

He reminds me of Amir. More skilled but that explosive power.

I am no longer interest in what would be good for Sheed. With his simplistic and childishness attitude, he destroyed a personal career that would have made him a HOF candidate. I will always remember a certain photograph (that he admired?) as a young man standing next to a mountain of a man (Chamberlain). Was this a passing of new generation? Hardly... if he wants to start new, then start homeward toward Philly. If he wants to make up for his multimillionaire's, have-ass comment level (35 foot shots with dual hands, no less) which had to switch oars for that personal wave (always shinning on the game-time reflection moments) arguing with everything in sight (right or wrong, the levels on me)...then go home. Start fresh, and wipe off that residue of contamination that still follows you. Michigan has had enough pollution.

Well, it sounds good. Who is going to make it happen? Oh, I know, it might be Gores.

Sheed is going to the Hall. Where is all this vitriol coming from? Sounds like you're still bitter about him leaving Horry open. :)

Jerebko might have a better shot at the HOF than Sheed.

    That's below Billups' at 22% and Laimbeer's 19%

Missing from the list are Ben Wallace and Tayshaun Prince.

Ben Wallace is at 0.9%. (His All-Star games, DPOYs, etc. would give him a little bump from voters, but still not close.)

    Tay Prince is at 0.2%.

You're insane if you think Ben Wallace is not in the Hall of Fame.
