Not a big ESPN fan. The local radio programs keep raving about Verlander and Jackson but I think Porcello leads them in most categories. Even on the Fox broadcasts they are constantly talking up these guys and Rick only gets an honorable mention.

THEY dont want to over hype a 20 year old rook. BTW, I hate ESPN too! But I wish i would have brought stock in it back in 79!

Its obvious that the first place Tigers are not in the same league with the first place BoSox as they were swept at home after having one of the the best home records in the AL.

Their starting pitching trumped our starters (JV & EJ didn't pitch). Willis and Gallaraga could not hang again and they got to our rookie phenom Porky.

Too may walks by our starters and to many strikeouts by our batters. Lets hope that JV and EJ come thru vs the Angels this weekend and the bats wakeup.

WILLIS! We need to move on from this dude. He can't throw strikes! I'd rather have a guy throw the ball in the zone and let our defense give it a shot rather than hand it to them by walking runs in. Pathetic! We'd be pretty tough with one or two more starters.

That Jergens lotion for Edgar "Can't Hit My Weight" Renteria trade is starting to smart!

Like I was saying, Willis should be a 1 out per outing kinda guy. GeeZZZ
Wait until the yankees get a hold of us.
The good news is, we can have a winning season beating up on the sub .500 teams.

The Headlines at Tigers.com states "Tigers looking for bog game from jackson to get back on track". What a bunch of idiots!!!
they got a GREAT F-in GREAT game from Justin V last night and lost because our stupid manager takes him out and puts THE CLOSER in a CANT WIN situation! AGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHH!
Then , the offense ran out of 3 runs and cant (as I predicted) hit a lick.

    WE NEED TO:

    - Recall Wilkin Ramirez to bat third
    - Bounce Ordonez to DH
    - Trade Guillen
    - Cut Willis, Lyon and Miner
    - Acquire a big bat if Thames doesnt hit A MINIMUM of 5 Homers in JUNE

Looks like the Tigers took a big left-handed pitcher with their 2nd pick.
